Top Online Sportsbooks for U.S. Players in 2024
Which U.S. Sportsbook Is the Best?
1. BetOnline: Our Most Recommended Sports Betting Site
BetOnline has been known as one of the best websites for sports betting for a long time for a reason. Several good reasons, in fact.
What does BetOnline offer that makes them a longtime leader in the sports betting industry?
- User-friendly experience on desktop and mobile: Whether you are making a deposit, placing bets, or looking information about the latest BetOnline bonuses and promotions, you can do so with ease on a computer or a mobile device.
- Vast selection of betting markets and bet types: Are you looking for a same-game parlay for this week’s big NFL matchup? A futures bet on the latest March Madness odds? A prop bet for a matchup on tonight’s NBA schedule? You can do all of those and much, much more at BetOnline. There, you can bet on everything from Green Bay Packers Super Bowl odds, the Grammys, major and minor golf tournaments, Olympic gold medal odds, to Game 1 of the World Series.
- Hefty bonuses, frequent promotions and contests, and VIP rewards: Are sportsbook perks an important consideration for you? BetOnline’s bonuses and promos are plentiful. They a great welcome bonus, frequently run special promotions and contests, and have a fantastic VIP rewards program that offers rewards like weekly and monthly cash boosts, birthday rewards, and reduced deposit fees.
- Excellent customer support: If you run into an issue or need help with something, you won’t have to stress or spend hours or days waiting for a response at BetOnline, as they pride themselves on providing great customer support.
For a more in-depth look at why we recommend BetOnline above all other sports betting sites for U.S. players, check out our BetOnline sportsbook review.
Other Recommended U.S. Sports Betting Sites
2. Sportsbetting.ag
Like BetOnline, Sportsbetting.ag is another sports betting site with a long history.
Even as more and more online sportsbooks entered the fray, Sportsbetting.ag has remained consistent with providing an excellent, rewarding betting experience.
Sportsbetting.ag is easy to use, offers a wealth of betting options, and serves up some serious bonuses and perks. Sportsbetting.ag’s welcome bonus codes, which give you sizable free plays, aren’t limited to just one option, and their reload bonuses aren’t either.
This is only the tip of the iceberg about why this sportsbook should be on your list of outs. Check out our Sportsbetting.ag review to learn more.
3. Bovada
For many years, Bovada has been one of the most renowned names in the sports betting industry. That place among as one of the best online sportsbooks is well-earned, as they tick a lot of the major boxes for bettors.
After you take Bovada’s welcome bonus and make a deposit with one of their secure deposit methods, you can navigate your way around the site with ease to bet on the vast selection of betting markets. And if your sports betting picks are successful enough, you can make a withdrawal using one of their quick and reliable payout options, as well as rack up points in the Bovada rewards program.
If you are not familiar with Bovada and would like to learn more about them, check out our Bovada sportsbook review.
4. Sportbet.one
Crypto casinos are all the rage now as the likes of Bitcoin, Tether, and other cryptocurrencies have become a popular way to make deposits and withdrawals.
But crypto has caught on with sportsbooks as well, and no sports betting site has embraced it like Sportbet.one, which bills itself as the first decentralized crypto sportsbook (and casino, as it also has a casino site).
With other sportsbooks, you have to provide sensitive information and documents to be able to make deposits and receive withdrawals. That isn’t the case with Sportbet.one, so if you like the anonymity that using crypto provides, you will feel right at home there.
That isn’t the only draw for Sportbet.one. Along with being able to bet on seemingly almost anything—from college football to cricket—they also offer a big welcome bonus that comes with a relatively small rollover compared to many other U.S. sportsbooks.
If you are a crypto connoisseur and want to learn more about this exciting sportsbook, check out our Sportbet.one sportsbook review.
5. BetWhale
Do you like big bonuses? If you do, BetWhale should be high on your list.
In addition to offering a big welcome bonus, BetWhale also offers similarly sizable reload bonuses, which is not something many sportsbooks do.
They frequently offer reload bonuses that center around events taking place, like the Super Bowl, NBA Finals, or March Madness. Also, they send out those bonuses and other sportsbook offers and casino promos via email almost every week.
The most important thing to note about BetWhale bonuses is that they are all cash bonuses. That’s right, cold, hard cash. So, if your first deposit is $500, your beginning bankroll will be $1125 because of their 125% welcome bonus.
Currently, BetWhale does not offer a dedicated rewards program similar to other popular sports betting sites. Therefore, other sports betting sites may be a better fit if a sportsbook rewards program is a must. But big welcome and reload cash bonuses, lots of betting options, good customer service, and a variety of quick and reliable deposit and payout options make BetWhale a book we highly recommend trying.
Are you interested in learning more about one of the hottest newcomers on the sports betting scene? Check out our BetWhale sportsbook review.
6. MyBookie
If having access to good welcome and reload bonuses is important, MyBookie is a great choice.
They offer both cash and free play welcome bonus options, and for existing bettors, there is a tiered free play bonus of up to 50%, depending on your deposit amount.
Also, if you are into betting on horse racing, MyBookie offers an 8% rebate on horse racing bets for existing customers.
And if you love playing at online casinos, you will feel like you hit the jackpot with MyBookie’s casino bonuses and promotions.
To take a deeper dive into what makes MyBookie a top sports betting site, check out our MyBookie sportsbook review.
7. BetUS
In the sports betting industry, few brands are as recognizable as BetUS. Over the last three decades, the industry has seen many, many changes, but BetUS has been a mainstay through that time and is poised to thrive for years to come.
BetUS is known for its variety of big bonuses, as well as its variety of betting markets. A BetUS promo code is a key to unlocking many opportunities to win big, and their loyalty program provides even more incentives and opportunities for bettors who make a long-term commitment.
To learn more and get up-to-date information about all that BetUS has to offer, check out our BetUS sportsbook review.
8. BetDSI
As is the case with most of our other recommended U.S. sportsbooks, BetDSI has been on the scene for a long time.
To learn more about their features and get the latest BetDSI promo code, check out our BetDSI sportsbook review.
9. Everygame
Closing out our list of the best U.S. online sportsbooks is another familiar face.
Many longtime bettors know of this sportsbook as Intertops, which hit the internet in 1996. But since late 2021, they have been known as Everygame.
While they don’t offer bets for every single game out there, they offer plenty of bets, a 100% signup bonus for new players, and much more.
To learn more about this stalwart of online sports betting, check out our Everygame sportsbook review.

What Are Online Sportsbooks?
An online sportsbook is a platform that gives sports bettors the ability to place bets without having to visit a physical location. These days, you can place bets with online sportsbooks using websites or mobile apps. That level of convenience is one of the reasons why betting at online sportsbooks has become so popular.
What are some of the key differences between online sportsbooks and brick and mortar sportsbooks? Beyond the convenience, online sportsbooks provide perks like bonuses and promotions, and many sports betting sites also offer more betting options than physical sportsbooks do.
How We Rate and Review the Best Online Sportsbooks
There are several factors we evaluate when rating and reviewing sports betting sites.
Every bettor is not the same. Every bettor does not seek out the same things when searching for the best online sportsbook(s) to use.
However, there are numerous factors that many bettors consider.
Some bettors are most interested in getting the most bang for their buck and finding the best odds. Some bettors are most interested in being able to bet on a wide variety of betting markets and betting options. Other bettors prefer to boost their bankroll by getting a big bonus or getting rewards for being a frequent bettor. And others just want to be able to have a stress-free betting experience, secure in the knowledge that their money is safe, their bets can be placed quickly, and if there is an issue at any point, it will be handled well.
Our reviews evaluate those factors so that the average sports bettor will be able to have a strong idea of whether a book meets their needs before they take the leap and sign up.
What Are the Features of Good Online Sportsbooks?
A sports betting site doesn’t have to tick all of the boxes to be a good option. In fact, this is why it is good to have multiple options, also known as “outs.”
Where one online sportsbook may offer more variety, another may offer a sleeker mobile or live betting interface. Another may offer superior odds on a particular sport or game.
With that in mind, these sportsbook reviews should be only part of your research into which online sportsbook(s) to use.
What are some of the factors we consider when evaluating and determining the best U.S. sports betting sites?
User-Friendly Experience
When it comes to doing anything online, a good experience can be a decisive factor in whether a user decides to frequent a website or if they elect to choose another option.
Here are some of the factors that can help provide the best online betting experience, whether you are new to sports betting or have been doing it for a very long time.
Ease of Navigation
As a sports bettor, time is often of the essence, especially if you enjoy live betting.
Therefore, it is important to offer an interface that is easy to navigate. Can bettors find the events they are looking for with ease? Can bets be placed quickly? Is important information like wagering rules, deposit and payout options and times, and current bonuses and promotions easy to find?
If all of those questions are answered affirmatively, that is a big plus for a sports betting site.
Mobile Betting
Thanks to smartphones and tablets, online betting can now be done from anywhere as long as you are connected to the internet, whether through Wi-Fi or your mobile data.
With how many people like to bet on sports using their mobile devices, good sports betting websites are up with the times and offer a good mobile betting experience. Many online sportsbooks have dedicated mobile apps, while others have dedicated mobile sites or mobile-friendly sites.
Quality Customer Support
No one wants to need customer support often, whether it’s with online shopping, online gaming, or online sports betting. But when you do, you want accessible, helpful, and knowledgeable customer support. The best online sportsbooks tick each of those boxes.
Variety of Betting Options
Some sports bettors like to bet on only a few sports or competitions. Other sports bettors like to bet on everything from baseball to badminton to boxing.
But whether you bet on only NFL and NBA odds or on almost anything at any time, having access to the betting markets and lines you are looking for is important.
Are you looking for U.S. Open (golf) or US Open (tennis) futures odds when those events are months away? There’s a book out there that has those options.
Are you looking for table tennis odds in the middle of the night? There’s a book out there that has what you seek.
Many of the best online sportsbooks offer a high level of variety.
Competitive Odds
For many sports bettors, finding the sportsbook(s) that offer the best value is of high importance.
Whether your average stake is $10, $100, or $1000 per bet, finding the best value can help your bankroll significantly over time.
For example, if you bet $10 on -110 odds, you will win $9.09 if your bet wins. If you bet $10 on -120 odds, you will win $8.33 if your bet wins. Is $0.76 much by itself? No, but if you add that up over the course of one year of frequent wagering, it can really add up.
Whether a sportsbook makes the grade on value depends on what you are looking for individually, but the best online sportsbooks offer stay on top of providing competitive odds.
Bonuses and Promotions
Deals and rewards programs are a big draw for many online shoppers. In the same vein, sportsbook bonuses and promotions are a big draw for many sports bettors.
Sportsbooks promos like welcome bonuses or risk-free bets draw in new or casual bettors, but even seasoned bettors love to benefit from special offers, fun contests (like March Madness bracket challenges), or loyalty programs.
If you bet on sports frequently, you can rack up a lot of points with the rewards offered at places like BetOnline, Bookmaker, and Bovada. Those points can be redeemed for cash back or other rewards, and moving up in tiers can give you access to even better rewards.
What Bets Can You Make at Online Sportsbooks?
All sports betting sites do not offer the same betting options or betting markets. Some sportsbooks offer more variety, while other sportsbooks offer a more streamlined experience and offer only the main options and markets. That said, most U.S. online sportsbooks offer many of the same types of bets and betting markets.
Types of Bets Available at U.S. Sports Betting Sites
Moneyline Bets
Moneyline betting is one of the two main ways to bet on the outcome of an event. The result of moneyline bets is determined by who wins and who loses. For example, if the Dallas Cowboys are playing the Philadelphia Eagles and you place a moneyline bet on Dallas to win, a Cowboys win by any margin results in a winning bet.
Point Spread Bets
Point spread bets are the other main way to bet on the outcome of an event. But while moneyline bets are decided by who wins and who loses, point spread bets are dependent on a specific outcome. For example, if the Cowboys (-5.5) are favored by 5.5 points against the Eagles (+5.5), the Cowboys will cover the spread if they win by six or more points, and the Eagles will cover the spread if they win outright or lose by five or fewer points.
Total (Over/Under) Bets
Total bets, which are also known as over/under bets, are the other main way to bet on an event. But unlike moneyline and spread betting, total betting does not involve the outcome. Instead, total bets are over/under bets on how many combined points are scored.
For example, if the total for the Eagles vs Cowboys game is set at 54.5, the over will hit if 55 or more points are scored (31-24 Cowboys, for example), and the under will hit if 54 or fewer points are scored (27-24 Cowboys, for example).
Prop Bets
Props are another popular way to bet on sporting events. Prop bets are special bets on specific occurrences during an event. NFL and NBA player props are some of the most popular types of prop bets. An example of a player prop bet is an over/under bet on how many passing yards Patrick Mahomes will have in a game.
Futures Bets
Futures bets are bets on a future outcome. Some examples of futures bets include Super Bowl winner bets, NBA championship winner bets, World Series winner bets, and Stanley Cup winner bets.
What Sports Can You Bet on at Online Sportsbooks?
American Football
Football is one of the most popular sports to bet on. If you look at any online sportsbook that accepts U.S. players, you will find a variety of NFL (National Football League) and NCAA Football odds, even in the offseason.
Most NCAA Football odds are for the Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), the top level of NCAA football. However, many sportsbooks also offer odds for the FCS (Football Championship Subdivision), which is the second tier of NCAA Division I football.
Additionally, many sportsbooks also offer odds for the United Football League, a league made up of teams from the USFL and XFL whose season runs from March to June. Also, top online sportsbooks also offer odds for the Canadian Football League, which operates with different rules and a different-sized field than the American football leagues.
Are you interested in betting on football? Check out our NFL betting guide and college football betting guide.
Baseball
Throughout the year, you can also find Major League Baseball (MLB) odds at any online sportsbook that accepts U.S. players.
Also, many sportsbooks offer college baseball odds and odds for baseball leagues in Japan, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Do you want to maximize your chances of hitting it out of the park with your baseball bets? Peruse our MLB betting guide for some baseball betting tips.
Basketball
Do you like to bet on basketball? If so, you have no shortage of options.
At all of the top sportsbooks, you can find odds for the NBA, WNBA, and men’s and women’s college basketball . That includes futures odds, which are available both during the season and in the offseason. If you want to bet on March Madness odds in August, you can do so.
Every online sportsbook doesn’t offer the same variety, but at sports betting sites like BetOnline and Betwhale, you can also bet on international basketball competitions like the Olympics and World Cup, club competitions like the EuroLeague and FIBA Champions League, and domestic leagues like the ACB (Spain), NBB (Brazil), and CBA (China).
The 2024-25 NBA season is here, so check out our NBA betting guide for valuable information on how to bet on NBA odds.
Also, the 2024 WNBA season was must-see TV, thanks in part to the WNBA Rookie of the Year race between Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese. Both watching and betting on the WNBA are more popular than they have ever been, and that should continue in 2025. Our WNBA betting guide covers a lot of information you need to bet on the league in 2025 and beyond.

Additionally, odds LIV Golf, the DP World Tour (also known as the European Tour), LPGA, and Champions Tour, and team competitions like the Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup are available at many sportsbooks.
Hockey
Along with the NFL, NBA, and MLB, you can expect every U.S. online sportsbook to have National Hockey League odds.
The NHL is the world’s top hockey league, but many betting sites carry odds for major European hockey leagues, the American Hockey League, and NCAA hockey.
Hockey can be an exciting sport to watch on TV or in person, and it’s also an exciting sport to bet on. Learn more about how to bet on the NHL with our NHL betting guide.

Sportsbooks like Bovada offer finishing position odds for Formula 1, NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, and NASCAR Truck Series races, as well as futures odds for those series and the IndyCar Series.
Learn more about betting on the likes of Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Chase Elliott and races like the Daytona 500, Coca-Cola 600, and Southern 500 with our NASCAR betting guide.
Soccer
Outside of baseball, basketball, football, and hockey, one of the most popular sports to bet on at U.S. sports betting sites is soccer.
On our soccer picks page, you can find picks for the English Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Liga MX (Mexico), and Major League Soccer (U.S.). You can find odds for all of those competitions almost anywhere, and many sportsbooks offer odds for many club leagues that fall under the CONCACAF (North and Central America), CONMEBOL (South America), and UEFA (Europe), and AFC (Asia, as well as Australia) umbrellas.
Tennis
Some of the tennis betting odds you can bet on are match odds for ATP main tour, WTA main tour, men’s and women’s challenger tournaments, as well as futures odds for many major and minor tournaments and match and futures odds for team competitions like the Davis Cup and Billie Jean King Cup.
