The Connecticut Sun (2-0) will head to Indiana to take on the Fever (0-3) for the 2nd time this season. Connecticut opened the season with a 92-71 vs them win last week.
Even though we’re only 2 games into the season, the Sun look just like they did last season. Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner already had big games. Thomas had a Triple Double vs the Fever and Bonner has had 20+ in both games.
This will be the 2nd home game of the season for the Fever. They were blown out by the Liberty in their home opener on Thursday. Number 1 pick Caitlin Clark had 2 terrible shooting games but came back to earth in her 3rd game.
Indiana will look to correct their mistakes from 1st matchup
Indiana has had a rough start to the season but looked better in their last game vs the Liberty. They were down by as many as 20 points and cut the lead down to be an 11-point loss.
Clark shot 9/17 from the field and 4/10 from 3 in that game. She also had 7 rebounds and 8 assists to go with it. She is settling in and it’s going to be fun to watch her this season.
NaLyssa Smith and Aliyah Boston need to find their groove and step up. Both have had mediocre starts to the season and can definitely contribute a lot once settling in. Kelsey Mitchell found her grove last game, putting up 17 points.
It’s still early and most teams have a lot of work to do. Let’s check out the odds and see if we think the Fever stand a chance tonight.

Indiana got worked in their 1st matchup and I don’t see much changing this game. Connecticut is a much better, all around team from top to bottom.
On offense, the Sun dominate with Thomas and Bonner running the offense. They both help take care of business on the defensive end as well.
The Fever will make some adjustments, but it won’t be enough. The sportsbooks are giving them some respect by setting the line at 4.5. With that number, give me the Sun all day and twice on Sunday’s.
That 4.5 number is so low and we’re going to take advantage. Give me the Sun -4.5 and you can even ladder it up if you have the option. Connecticut’s going to come out and do the same thing as last game.
Nugget – take Alyssa Thomas for a Triple Double. No reason she can’t do it again!
