Tonight, in one of the late games, the Seattle Storm will host the Atlanta Dream at the Climate Pledge Arena. Both teams come into this game off a loss. They played each other only 12 days ago and the Dream pulled out a win 83-81.
Seattle is 18-11 this season and are 2nd place in the Western Conference. After offseason signings, this team has gone right to the top and are contenders against teams like the Aces and Lynx. Even though they’re 5-5 in their last 10 games, the Storm are 11-4 at home.
Coming off a bad loss, the Storm can’t lose games like they did last game. Seattle was leading Washington most of the game and gave it away at the end in the 2nd game of their back-to-back. The Storm won the first game by 6 points, but should’ve won by more.
Nneka Ogwumike has played an average of 33.7 minutes per game her last 3 games. She hasn’t been consistent scoring, only putting up 9 points last game where she only had 2 in the entire 2nd half. Ogwumike is averaging 9 rebounds per in the last 3 games as well.
Can the Dream get some wins and make a playoff run?
Atlanta has had a weird season but are not too far out of a playoff spot. Now is a good time to start to turn it around against a good team. If they can build some momentum, it would be huge to carry into the next game.
The Dream are 10-19 this season and are 5th in the Eastern Conference. They miss the 8th spot for the playoffs by 1 game if the season ended today. It will be tough, but if they can grit out some dirty wins, they have a good shot of making the playoffs.
Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray continue to lead this team. Newcomer Jordin Canada has been a great addition to the team. She missed the first 20 games of the season due to a hand injury. Canada is averaging 10 points and 6.2 assists per game.
In their last 10 games, the Dream are 3-7 and are 4-9 on the road. The past doesn’t matter right now since they’re in the hunt. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

I really like the Dream to cover in this game. Seattle has shown struggles the last 2 out of 3 games. I do think that the Storm win this game, but the Dream should cover with the way they’ve been playing.
Howard and Gray need to shoot well for this to happen. Jordin Canada should make the opportunities happen and dish them the ball. Tina Charles, who is coming off a monster 28/8 performance, will also need to do her part against Ezi Magbegor.
Two plays that I have my eye on are Allisha Gray to hit 2+ 3-pointers for -112. She has hit this in her last 3 straight games and has been hot as of late. I also like for Jordin Canada to over 6.5 assists for +102. She has hit this line in her last 8 games straight and 9 out of her last 10 games.
