Stank:
The stars show up for big games, and this is easily the biggest game of the WNBA yet. While the majority of the public will be all over Clark’s props, I took a strategic approach. Since the books are too scary to offer Angel Reese’s points and rebounds prop, I had to get creative, trust my plums, and make my own, based on a thorough analysis of her performance and the game dynamics.
Reese has been playing some impressive ball to start her WNBA career, stepping up low while her fellow rookie teammate, Kamilla Cardoso, is recovering from a shoulder injury. So far this season, she is posting 11.0 PPG, 8.2 RPG, and 2.0 SPG. The former LSU star has gone over 12+ points in three of her six games this season (five out of 8 counting preseason) while going over 6+ rebounds in every game but one.
Her role should be the same as it’s been all season long. Reese will most likely be up against former Lady Bear, Nalyssa Smith, who is the leading rebounder for the Fever. The Fever are the third worst team in rebounds per game, meanwhile the Sky are number one in offensive rebounding. With Reese’s potential to get after those missed shots on the offensive end and tip a few in, we have every reason to be optimistic.
The former national champion should come into this game with a big chip on her shoulder. The last time she and Clark faced off, the Iowa Hawkeyes defeated the LSU Tigers in the Elite Eight. If that is not enough motivation for her to make a big statement today. *Shrug emoji*
Angel Reese Over 12+ Points & 6+ Rebounds
Sky vs Fever Outcome: Slight lean towards Fever winning
