We have a battle between the Las Vegas Aces and the Dallas Wings. The Aces are a much better team than the Wings despite their record. These 2 teams played each other in early July and the Aces won by 19 points.
The Aces are coming off a win vs the Sky that they just got the win in. They also had back-to-back losses to the Lynx in the 2 games prior to the Sky game. This team hasn’t been playing up to its potential and it’s causing them to slip in the standing.
Right now, the Aces are 18-11 and are 3rd in the Western Conference. The 2 games they just dropped against the Lynx were both by double digits. Luckily for the Aces, the playoffs are made up of the top 8 teams in the lead, so they don’t have to battle out of the West. Still, these loses are signs that they still haven’t got it together.
A’ja Wilson is still putting on an MVP year. She hasn’t hit her points line in her last 4 out of 5 games, which means she’s due to come out of that. Wilson is just coming off an 18-rebound performance, which she’s going to need to keep up.
Dallas is running out of time to turn around and make the playoffs
The Wings have not been the same team this year as they were last year. They had to start the year without Satou Sabally which was definitely a key piece missing. The team is 1-3 since her return, so she wasn’t the entire problem.
Dallas is 7-22 and 5th in the Western Conference. They’re 3-7 in their last 10 games and coming off a much-needed win vs the Sparks. At this point, they’re playing for pride. It is highly unlikely they make the playoffs, even if they go on a run.
Arike Ogunbowale has been the teams star yet again this season. She is 22.3 points, 5.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game this season. Ogunbowale has also started all 28 games for the Wings this season.
With the way the Aces have been playing, the Wings could give them a run for their money! Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

With every game, it becomes more and more important for the Aces to win. This game should be one of those must wins with only 11 games left in the season. Minnesota and Seattle are not slowing down and pose a threat to the Aces.
Las Vegas is much better than the Wings all around, they just need to play their game. As long as they come out in the beginning and stick to their game, they should control and win with no problem. They’re due for a blowout win and that’s why we’re taking the spread.
I expect A’ja Wilson to get back on track for a big game. She should break 25 points and 12 rebounds. Dallas has McCowan and Howard as bigs, but she has hit the points in 5 of her last 6 games vs the Wings. She also broke the 12 mark for rebounds in 2 of her last 3 games vs Dallas.
