Lynx vs Storm Predictions & WNBA Picks Today (7/12)
Tonight’s WNBA showdown marks the fourth and final Lynx vs. Storm meeting of the 2024 campaign. It’s shocking to see Seattle as the 7-point favorite this evening given that Minnesota won the three previous matchups by an average of 13.7 points per game.
While two of those victories came on the road, the Lynx did notch an 83-70 blowout win at Climate Pledge Arena on May 14. Alanna Smith scored a game-high 22 points with eight rebounds in the victory while Napheesa Collier registered another double-double (20 points, 12 rebounds).
The lopsided series isn’t anything new, though. After all, the Lynx are now 6-1 SU in their last seven games against the Storm, regardless of where they’re playing.
The Lynx now head back to Seattle with some momentum on their side following back-to-back wins over the Washington Mystics and Los Angeles Sparks. Meanwhile, the Storm have dropped two of their last three home games, which includes a second-half collapse against the Las Vegas Aces two days ago.
Will the Storm’s struggles at home continue against the Lynx tonight?
The Lynx will likely be without a key player tonight as Napheesa Collier is doubtful due to a foot injury. The 27-year-old All-Star has easily been Minnesota’s best player this season as she paces her teammates in points (20.0), rebounds (10.2), steals (2.2), and field goals made(7.7).
Having said that, the Lynx have won both of the games since Collier last played, leaving time to tell if that trend continues.
As for the Storm, they’re completely healthy heading into tonight, meaning it’s up to them to take advantage of the Lynx’s injury situation.
Do the Lynx have what it takes to beat the Storm if Napheesa Collier (foot) doesn’t suit up tonight?
Even without Collier, I’m still taking the Lynx to win today. They’ve beaten the Storm three straight times this season for a reason, which is a streak that could continue based on Seattle’s recent home play. It’ll be a closer game if Collier doesn’t play, however, Minnesota has what it takes to win either way.
I also recommend backing the Lynx on the 7-point spread. Again, Minnesota has outscored Seattle by nearly 14 points per meeting this season. Even without Collier playing, the visitors are more than talented enough to keep things closer than the oddsmakers project, regardless of whether they pull off the upset or not.

Best Lynx vs Storm WNBA Prop Bet (7/12)
There are a few solid Lynx vs. Storm player props available tonight, including Alanna Smith o5.5 total rebounds (-129).
Smith has done well at providing the Lynx with a solid rebounding presence since the middle of June. In her last 10 games, the Australian forward is averaging 6.1 rebounds while finishing with the Over seven times. Two of those instances have come in Collier’s absence as Smith tallied eight rebounds against the Mystics before registering six against the Sparks on Tuesday.
Considering how she amassed eight boards in her latest trip to Seattle, Smith is in a terrific spot to hit the Over tonight.
