The best of the Western Conference face off Tuesday night once again for the 4th time this season. The defending champs and 1st in the league Las Vegas Aces (24-3) will take on the 2nd place Dallas Wings (15-13) at the College Park Center.
In the 3 matchups they’ve had this season, the Aces have come away with 2 wins. They won the 1st game of the season by 7 points and 2nd by a commanding 13 points. The game they lost to Dallas was only by 2 points as well.
Coming off a championship year, the Aces have shown no signs of slowing down. Only 3 losses on the year so far, is pretty good in my book. But those 3 losses stand out a little in this game.
The Aces are 11-3 on the road this year, so all 3 losses have been away games. Keep in mind, one of the losses was at the hands of the Wings. They are 8-2 in their last 10 games and coming off a loss.
With that being said, will the Aces be in top form for this game? There is one area Dallas has an advantage, so let’s talk about it.
Dallas Wings Key to Staying in the Game
There is one part of the game that the Wings excel in and that is rebounding. They rank 1st in the league in rebounds per game with 39.4 and also 1st in offensive rebounds with 12.1 per game.
Satou Sabally, Natasha Howard and Teaira McCowan lead the Wings in crashing the boards. Each one of them averaging 8.7 rebounds per game, which means they pretty much make up 25% of the teams' rebounds per game.
Now, don’t get me wrong, the Aces can wax the boards, ranking 4th in the league with 34.4 per game. League MVP A’ja Wilson leads the Aces with 9.4 rebounds per game. Kelsey Plum, Jackie Young and Chelsea Gray all play their parts as well.
The Wings other key to this game is establishing their offense and finding buckets. The Aces are the number 1 defensive rated team in the league at 98.5. We know Dallas can score, ranking 3rd in the league averaging 86.3 per game, but can they get those buckets will be the question.
Except a high pace game as both rank in the top 3 of the league in pace. Dallas has to keep the offensive momentum going and going early to have a chance in this game.

Las Vegas Aces vs Dallas Wings Predictions and Picks
Pick: Aces -9 (-110)
Being the 4th matchup of the year, these teams are familiar with each other. Going off those matchups and the stats of each team, I really think we see the Aces roll here.
They cleared this line last matchup and I think they’re a little fueled coming into this game. They’re coming off a loss, which is already rare for them this year, so I expect them to come out screaming.
The Aces offense is a handful and they’re going to get started early. Expect Plum and Young to shoot from behind the arch while Gray dishes the ball out. These are the things that allow Wilson to be so dominate and the team is missing veteran Candance Parker.
The other problem for Dallas is the Aces’ defense. If the Aces play their top defense and can rebound the ball, the Wings are cooked (no pun intended lol). Give me the Aces and to cover.
Player Prop: Natasha Howard O9.5 Rebounds (-108)
Howard has been fantastic this season. She is averaging 8.5 rebounds per game while averaging 33.5 minutes per game. She is a key part of the Wings rebounding core.
She has hit the double digits mark in 3 of her last 4 games and 4 out of the last 7 games. In the 3 games she hit recently, she had 12, 12, and 11.
She has also hit this line in all 3 games vs the Aces this season. She had 11 (just a week and a half ago), 11 and 13. I’m surprised this line hasn’t moved to 10.5 so we’re going to take advantage of it. The value on the line is also great.
