After a long rest, the Atlanta Dream will take on Chicago Sky. The Dream sit in the 3rd spot and the Sky are in the 4th spot in the East. Both teams are having their ups and downs to start the season.
Atlanta hasn’t played since Sunday, so they’re more than well rested. Hopefully for their sake, they won’t have any rust to shake off. Their 4-4 record shows that back and forth they’ve had.
They come into this game on a 2-game losing streak and this could be a good bounce back spot for them. Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray have been off their game the last 2 games. The team needs them to get back in rhythm as they are the center of the team’s offense.
On defense, Tina Charles and Cheyenne Parker-Tyus protect the rim. Both ladies have started every game, average double-digit points and combine for 15 rebounds per game. The Dream will need them to do work if they’re going to get their 5th win of the season.
Does Chicago have what it takes to grind out a win against Atlanta?
Chicago has been in the talks lately, but not for their play. Rookie Angel Reese has found herself in the media a lot, but talking about Caitlin Clark, not her play.
Chennedy Carter has also been doing some talking since the incident, but her talking has been in her play. She’s had 25, 16, and 19 points in her last 3 games.
Carter also had 4, 3, and 4 rebounds in those games. These are big numbers coming from a player who was averaging approximately 12 points per game. She has also done all of this off the bench – she hasn’t started 1 game.
The Sky need to get it together still. Reese’s shooting percentage has not been good. Marina Mabrey has been doing her part, leading the team in scoring with 16 points per game. Dana Evans and Elizabeth Williams both are averaging 10 points per game.
They’re going to need to slow Atlanta down and maybe the home crowd can help them. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

This is a good get right spot for the Dream. The line is extremely tight, but I think they come out and win this game with ease.
Atlanta has some more seasoned players and ones returning from last year, so they gel. Rhyne Howard plays really well vs the Sky, getting 32 points in her last game against them. She is due for a big game as she has been off.
Cheyenne Parker-Tyus has had 10+ points her last 7 games vs the Sky, so look for her to be doing work. Allisha Gray is coming off a 16-point performance, so she’ll look to that momentum.
Chicago is starting to be known for gritty and kind of tough. This is my way around of saying dirty because they have only shown that once, so we let that go.
For some side picks, I like Parker-Tyus’ points and Howard’s points as well.
