The highlight of tonight’s WNBA schedule is the lone early game on the slate, as Arike Ogunbowale and the Dallas Wings visit Rhyne Howard and the Atlanta Dream (7:30 pm ET) in a matchup of two talented 1-1 teams.
The Wings opened the season last week with two home games against the Chicago Sky. In their opener on Wednesday, Dallas saw off Chicago 87-79, led by Ogunbowale’s 25 points. But despite a 35-piece by Ogunbowale on Saturday, the Wings fell 83-74 in the rematch.
The Dream started their season on the road, meanwhile. They opened with a 92-81 win over the Los Angeles Sparks on Wednesday, then fell 88-85 to the Phoenix Mercury on Saturday.
Last season, Dallas won all five meetings between the two teams, and they eliminated Atlanta from the playoffs with a two-game sweep in the first round. Will we see the Dream pick up a win over the Wings for the first time since June 21, 2022, tonight?

Dallas Wings vs Atlanta Dream Betting Analysis
In Saturday’s loss to the Sky, the Wings actually shot better from three (7 of 18, 38.9%) as a team than they did in Wednesday’s win (5 of 15, 33.3%). However, their overall shooting percentage went way down. They made only 34.8% (23 of 66) in the loss, compared to 45.1% (37 of 82) in the win.
Ogunbowale is going to carry a heavy scoring load for the Wings, especially with Satou Sabally sidelined for a chunk of the season. But a helping hand from the supporting cast will always be vital when your star scorer is a high-volume shooter who is going to have some rough nights percentage wise.
That helping hand came on Wednesday, with three other players scoring 13+ points. It did not come on Saturday, however, as Ogunbowale was the only double-digit scorer for the Wings.
How much help she gets tonight will be a big factor in how this matchup turns out for Dallas.
Ultimately, while the Wings will continue to miss Sabally’s presence, Atlanta has the horses for this one in Howard, Allisha Gray, Cheyenne Parker-Tyus, and Tina Charles. I think they will be able to overcome another high-scoring night for Ogunbowale and improve to 2-1 for the season.
