With the WNBA playoffs less than a month away, the Dallas Wings have taken a big step towards locking up the #4 seed by winning their last three games.
Tonight, the Wings will look to pick up their fourth straight win as they visit the Minnesota Lynx (8:00 pm ET, Twitter).
With eight games remaining, Dallas (18-14, 8-8 away) is two games ahead of the Atlanta Dream (16-16), who are a game ahead of the Lynx (15-17, 6-10 home).
A win for the Lynx (15-17, 6-10 home) would help the Dream, but it would also help Minnesota, who currently hold the sixth seed on a tiebreaker with the Washington Mystics (15-17). But to get that win, they will have to do something that they have not done well this season.

Lynx Unlikely to Clip the High-Flying Wings
Of the eight teams that take up the top eight spots in the WNBA standings, the Lynx are the only team that is under .500 at home.
They have lost five of their last seven games at the Target Center, including Friday’s 88-74 loss to the Seattle Storm. One of those five losses is a 107-67 loss to the Wings on July 12, in which Dallas had four players score at least 18 points.
The margin is unlikely to be as big, but the same outcome is likely tonight.
Minnesota has not fared well at all at home against the better teams in the WNBA. This will be their seventh home game against the Wings, Las Vegas Aces, New York Liberty, and Connecticut Sun. They have yet to beat any of those teams at home, and five of the six losses have been by double digits.
If the Wings score like they have in the first two head-to-head meetings and how they have scored in their current win streak, the Lynx will not be able to keep up. Since scoring 97, 88, and 87 points in a three-game win streak, they have scored 85+ points just once in their last six games.
In the other head-to-head matchup, Dallas had three players score 21+ points in a 94-89 home win on May 30. That is one of 14 90+ point performances this season for the Wings, and their current run accounts for three more such performances.
Dallas is 10-4 when scoring 90+ points and 13-6 when scoring 85+ points, while Minnesota is 3-8 when allowing 90+ points and 4-11 when allowing 85+ points.
Dallas Wings vs Minnesota Lynx Prediction and Picks
Wings vs Lynx Picks: Wings -6.5 (-105 at Bovada) & Wings team total over 87.5 points (-115 at Bovada)
Home success has been infrequent for the Lynx this season, and home success against the league’s top teams has been nonexistent. Those issues will continue tonight.
