Sun vs Sky Prediction & Picks (5/25): Can Chicago End Another Unbeaten Start?

After ending one perfect start on Thursday, Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky will look to end another tonight as the Connecticut Sun visit Wintrust Arena (8:00 pm ET, CBS Sports Network).
Two nights ago, the Sky went into the Barclays Center expected to be easily dispatched by Breanna Stewart and the 4-0 New York Liberty. They had other ideas, however, and behind 21 points, seven assists, and six rebounds by Marina Mabrey and double-digit scoring efforts from four others, including Reese, Chicago took down New York 90-81.
Can they do the same tonight to Connecticut? While the Liberty fell from the ranks of the unbeaten on Thursday, the Sun survived against the Minnesota Lynx at home, pulling out a one-point win in overtime on two free throws by DeWanna Bonner with 7.4 seconds remaining.
Can they survive another potentially stiff test with their blemish-free record remaining intact?

Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky Betting Analysis
In Thursday’s upset of the Liberty, the Sky took care of business on both ends of the court.
Offensively, they shot 46.7% from the field and 36.8% from three.
Both were season highs for Chicago, who shot 39.2% from the field and 29.4% from three in a season-opening loss at Dallas then 40% from the field and 19% from three in their victorious rematch with the Wings last Saturday.
Defensively, they held the Liberty to 43.5% shooting from the field. Also, holding New York to only 11 second-quarter points helped Chicago take a valuable eight-point halftime lead.
After impressing in road wins over two of the better teams in the WNBA, the Sky should be confident about coming away with the win tonight in their home opener.
There’s a lot to like about the effort that they have put in thus far. Defensive performances have been commendable, and offensive contributions have come from several sources. In each of their three games, the Sky have had at least five players score in double figures.
The Sun are a championship contender, and there isn’t much of a gulf, if there is one at all, between themselves, the Liberty, and the Chelsea Gray-less Las Vegas Aces.
But winning is contagious, and after picking up back-to-back wins over the Wings and Liberty, I like the Sky to keep their momentum going in this spot.
Connecticut Sun vs Chicago Sky Prediction & Picks
Sun vs Sky Prediction: Sky to win
Sun vs Sky Picks: 1) Sky +5.5, 2) Sky ML, 3) Sun/Sky over 160.5, 4) Marina Mabrey over 28.5 points + rebounds + assists (-105 at Bovada)
Can Mabrey continue filling up the stat sheet?
- Dallas (5/15): 19 points (6 of 16 FG, 2 of 7 3PT, 5 of 7 FT), nine rebounds, three assists, two steals
- Dallas (5/18): 14 points (5 of 17 FG, 3 of 11 3PT, 1 of 1 FT), eight rebounds, eight assists, five steals
- New York (5/23): 21 points (8 of 13 FG, 3 of 8 3PT, 2 of 3 FT), seven assists, six rebounds
After making only 33.3% (11 of 33) of her shots from the field in her first two games, she connected with more accuracy against the Liberty and will be key to the Sky’s hopes of picking up a third straight win.
