The UEFA Champions League returns today with nine matches all across Europe. This is the 5th week of league phase play, as we are officially half way done with this first stage of the competition. One team has won every single match (Congrats Liverpool), while six others have not suffered a loss in the tournament so far. But, it’s time to dive into our best bets for the UEFA Champions League today!

Remember, following 8 games of league phase, teams will need to be in the Top 24 of the table to avoid elimination. The Top 8 will receive a bye week, while teams ranked 9th through 16th, will be randomly drawn to face a team ranked 17th-24th in a two leg knockout round matchup. But let’s get into the matter at hand.

Here are today’s matches, so let’s take a look and see if we can find any spots worth betting in the UEFA Champions League today.

UEFA Champions League: Tuesday’s Soccer Action

Inter Milan vs RB Leipzig Best Bets

Best Bet: Inter/Leipzig Under 3 (-108) Bovada

Inter Milan is a not a team you want to mess with. They are coming off a 5-0 shutout win, as well as blanking Arsenal 1-0 at home last time out in the Champions League. Offensively, they aren’t scoring very often against worse teams, such as their 1-0 victory against Young Boys on the road, and their nil-nil draw with Manchester City.

Now, RB Leipzig is totally outmatched in this contest, but they need a win. I expect them to be extra aggressive offensively, which the Inter Milan backline can certainly take. I see this being a stale, boring kick around for 90 minutes, producing minimal action and a small number of actual chances on net.

Ultimately, Inter will probably find a way to win this game at home, either 1-0 or 2-0, but I lean towards 2, considering their counter attack should matchup well against Leipzig’s aggressive offense. I also endorse Inter to Win to Nil (+165) or Inter to keep a clean sheet (+132), but I’ll just stick with the under. However this is a 1 unit play for me while most of my soccer bets have been 0.5u.

Bayern Munich vs PSG Best Bets

Best Bet: Bayern Munich -1 (-107) BetOnline

Bayern Munich were embarrassed by Barcelona earlier this year in the UEFA Champions League, losing 4-1 on the road. Since then they have six straight shutout wins.

Yes, you read that correctly. Six straight shutout wins. And they haven’t been little wins either. Munich is averaging 2.83 goals per game over their last six matches in all competitions, including a 1-nil win over Benfica in the UCL. My point is, this team is in incredible form, they have clearly turned it on since their loss to Barcelona, and they are barely advancing if the league phase ended today. They desperately need a victory, and hosting an inferior PSG team is the perfect team to back them at a great price.

Sure, PSG is still a household name but they would not advance in their current place of the standings. You can certainly argue they need a win as well, but they have failed to score the past 3 times they’ve seen Bayern Munich. So far in the UCL, PSG has lost at home to Atlético Madrid, drew against PSV at home, lost to Arsenal 2-nil on the road, and beat Girona 1-0 at home. This is a match where I see them struggling, and I with a rather high total, I trust Munich to win this game by 2, giving up a push if they win by 1.

Prediction: Bayern Munich Wins 3-0 (+1200)
