Here we go, once again, with nine matches on the pitch today as the UEFA Champions League wraps up it’s third week of play. Have no fear, because as always, we will dive in and find our best bets on the pitch. The table is starting to separate a bit, as we already have one 3-0 team (Congrats Villa), with four others looking to improve to 9 points today. Let’s get to it!
Remember, following 8 games of league phase, teams will need to be in the Top 24 of the table to avoid elimination. The Top 8 will receive a bye week, while teams ranked 9th through 16th, will be randomly drawn to face a team ranked 17th-24th in a two leg knockout round matchup. But let’s get into the matter at hand.
Here are today’s matches, so let’s take a look and see if we can find any spots worth betting in the UEFA Champions League today.
- Atalanta vs Celtic
- Brest vs Bayer Leverkusen
- Atlético Madrid vs Lille
- Barcelona vs Bayern Munich
- Benfica vs Feyenoord Rotterdam
- Manchester City vs Sparta Prague
- RB Leipzig vs Liverpool
- RB Salzburg vs Dinamo Zagreb
- Young Boys vs Inter Milan
I’ve got a couple angles I am looking at, so below are my best bets in the UCL today. For our expert’s soccer picks, go to this page here!

Atlético Madrid vs Lille Best Bets
Best Bet: Atlético Madrid -1 (-109) BetOnline
This is not a pretty spot to back Atlético but we’re going to anyways. Last time out, they put up a stinker against Benfica in the UCL, losing 4-0 on the road. But now they are back at home, where they are much more comfortable. For starters, they opened up the competition with a 2-1 win over Leipzig at home, and are coming off a 3-1 home win to Leganés in La Liga. I think this team will come very focused, and ready to take down Lille, who is not as talented.
Lille pulled off a huge upset against Real Madrid in their last UCL match, beating them 1-0 at home. But prior to that, they lost to Sporting CP by a score of 2-0 on the road. Lille has struggled on the road this season, and has been shutout in 3 of their L4 away matches. With Atlético coming off an embarrassing loss, I see them focusing on the back end and playing very tight defensively. It’s also the perfect time to fade Lille who used all their luck to beat Real Madrid, and since then have looked shaky, especially on the road.
Give me the home team to dominate and win by 2, but we will take a push if they play to a one goal victory.
Prediction: Atlético Madrid Wins 3-0 (+875)
Barcelona vs Bayern Munich Best Bets
Best Bet: Barca/Munich 1H Under 1.5 (-122) Bovada
Now, I’m not doing the usual 45 minute sweat for a scoreless first half, although I’d be lying if I said I didn’t sprinkle on it at (+325). However I think this under 1.5 will be sweaty enough. Both of these teams have been scoring at will all season long. Barcelona has put up 5 goals in each of their last two home matches, and 16 total goals over their last 5 matches overall. Bayern put up a total of 9 goals against Dinamo Zagreb in their first UCL match, and have scored 7 total in their last two.
So why the hell are we taking this under?
Well, Barcelona is at home, and I expect them to come out firing. Munich should have no choice but to try and hold strong and withstand the Spanish attack for 45 minutes until they can make some changes. Vincent Kompany is a defensive minded manager, and his focus will certainly be on containing Barcelona as a team, but especially Lamine Yamal who has 5 goals and 6 assists across all competitions this season. Ultimately, I think this 45 minutes remains scoreless, but I certainly don’t see either team really opening the scoring until the second half. Let’s get in and get out and hope we see no blood in the first 45 minutes.
Prediction: Draw 1-1 (+700)
