MLS Best Bets Today, Wednesday Action on the Pitch: May 29th, 2024

Twenty-four MLS teams take the pitch tonight for some midweek action. Have no fear, we’ve got your MLS best bets here! The season is off to a quick start, with teams roughly a third of the way done with their matches. We’ve got all summer for soccer, but it will be gone before you know it!

Per usual, I’ll do my best to hunt out some plus money, and with this big of a slate, we’re bound to find something. Let’s dive right into it!

Toronto FC vs Philadelphia Union Best Bets

The Philadelphia Union host Toronto FC tonight for some MLS action

Best Bets: Over 3 (-115) Bovada

Sound the alarms, batten down the hatches. The apocalypse is upon us, because Shaggy is betting on a soccer over. As I’m pretty sure, Paul Revere once said, “The Goals are coming, the Goals are coming.” Well hopefully out in Philly that is the case tonight.

We are betting on the over 3 as the Union host Toronto FC, and while over 3.5 for plus money was tempting, it’s hard enough to score as is, so no need for us to get greedy. Both of these teams are Top 10 in goals scored but also Top 12 in goals allowed so far this MLS season. Toronto is 7-6-2 to the over 3, but they’ve had combined totals of 7 and 6 goals in their last two matches. They should have no problem finding the net once or twice for us.

As for the home squad, Philadelphia has never been shutout at home in MLS play this season. They have pushed or gone over this number in 8 of their L9 matches, plus they’ve only shutout their opponent at home once. Philly averages 2 goals against at home this season, but with their offense and style of play, I could see both teams netting a couple in this game.

Give me over 3 with my pillow and a possible push, but please, if you have more guts than I do, sprinkle on the 3.5 for plus chicken.

LA Galaxy vs FC Dallas Best Bets

Matchup Information – LA Galaxy vs FC Dallas

• Date: Wednesday, May 29th, 2024
• Kick Off: 10:30pm Eastern

Best Bets: LA Galaxy -1.5 (+128) Bovada

In the City of Angels tonight, the Galaxy plan on giving Dallas the proper welcome, by swallowing them up and spitting them right back out. I think the Galaxy absolutely destroy FC Dallas. Now, I didn’t take the pillow in this game, but if you would like a push, I don’t mind the Galaxy -1  at (-125) odds, but I’ll bet they win by 2 or more.

LA has score 13 goals in 6 home matches this season, and although their defense isn’t the best, FC Dallas doesn’t have much offense going for them. They haven’t score twice on the road at all this season, and while they’ve only been shutout once, they allow plenty from their opponent’s attack. Just recently, Dallas allowed Real Salt Lake to score 3 goals while visiting, and on the road, Toronto was able to put 3 goals past their keeper.

The Galaxy have an MLS Title on their minds, and are sitting tied for 2nd, just 4 points out of 1st place in the Western Conference. Tonight at home, they should have no problem asserting their dominance on a team that is so far down in the league standings, and is bottom 5th in goals scored this season.
