Wakey, wakey – time for futbol and breakfast. Yeah, I know that didn’t rhyme, but I digress. Anyway, back to my favorite day of the week – weekend morning soccer!
We struck out last week on our plays, but that’s ok because we have a new week. Manchester City managed to lose to Wolverhampton, Liverpool fell victim to a VAR ruling that was wrong, Arsenal rolled and Manchester United was horrible.
Manchester United really disappointed us last week with another loss. They have joined a select group on what we call “the banned list”. Marcus Rashford couldn’t even manage a shot on target. They have a lot to figure out for the rest of the season.
The other play we had was Liverpool/Draw + BTTS in the Liverpool vs Tottenham. Tottenham ended up winning the game 2-1, but it was due to a confirmed wrong call on an offsides. Tough break, but as we say – we move.
This week we have some more really good matchups. To name a few, we have West Ham hosting Newcastle, Liverpool visiting Brighton, Wolverhampton hosting Aston Villa, and Arsenal vs Manchester City at Emirates Stadium. We’re going to get into 2 games for some picks and prop bets.
Check out the lines on Bovada and here’s a look at the rest of the games:
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Aston Villa Prediction, Odds & Best Bets
Prediction and Pick: BTTS + Ollie Watkins 1+ SOT (+106)
Aston Villa has had a great start to this year, sitting 5th in the table with a record of 5-0-2. They went crazy last week and put up 6 goals against Brighton. It was their 3rd straight EPL win.
Ollie Watkins had a hat trick in that game last week, so he is coming in hot. Those 3 goals put him at 4 on the year so far as well as 3 assists on 9 shots on target. Moussa Diaby is also having a great start to the year with 2 goals and 3 assists on 8 shots on target. Diaby is fighting an undisclosed injury so make sure to check the line up.
Wolverhampton stunned everyone last week with a win over 1st place Manchester City. Even though they are home again, I don’t think they have as good of luck against Aston Villa. Manchester City has not been themselves since losing Kevin De Bruyne and Wolverhampton took advantage.
I think we see a close game with both teams coming in off hot wins. Both teams should find the back of the net and Watkins will be shooting for Aston Villa. He has had at least 1 shot on target in his last 3 EPL games. I lean Aston Villa but going to stay away from a side with a possible tie as well.
Odds
- Wolverhampton +230
- Tie +250
- Aston Villa +115

Arsenal vs Manchester City Predictions, Odds & Best Bets
Prediction and Pick: Manchester City ML (+140)
This may come across as a bold pick to an extent. I know Man City is the league leader, but in Emirates Stadium – it’s kind of crazy to think they win. The other reason is because Arsenal has not lost a game yet this season, with a record of 5-2-0. Well, let’s get into it.
First is that Buyako Saka, Arsenal’s leading scorer, is looking like he won’t be playing and that’s a huge blow to the Arsenal offense. Also, Man City is the best like I said before with a record of 6-0-1.
They are just coming off 2 bad losses, where they were held to only 1 goal between both games, so they are going to be hungry. Erling Haaland has not played well his last few games and is due for a big one.
They are the best for a reason and will be playing a good team without their best player. Give me Man City at plus money on the road to get the win and get back on track.

- Arsenal +190
- Tie +240
- Manchester City +140
