There is tons of midweek soccer happening across the pond today in England, so we had to tap in and find our best best in the EPL! The season is heating up as this will be each squads 14th match of the season, and we’ve got 12 teams facing off across the league. Let’s get down to it.

Here are today’s matches, so let’s take a look and see if we can find any spots worth betting in the English Premier League today.

English Premier League: Wednesday’s Soccer Action

Newcastle vs Liverpool Best Bets

Best Bet: Under 3 (-118) Bovada

Newcastle has had their fair share of struggles this EPL season, but against the best teams in the league, they’ve actually done extremely well.

Most recently, Newcastle was shutout by West Ham at home, losing 2-nil, but against Arsenal, they won 1-nil, and also beat Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, winning 2-0. They know face Liverpool, with a win solidifying the hat trick at home against the Top Dawgs of the EPL. I think they come extremely defensive against the league leaders, much like they did against Arsenal and Chelsea in their victories.

Chelsea managed just 4 shots on target in their loss, while Arsenal only produced one. Our hosts know the key to victory against the best teams is keeping them scoreless and hoping to get lucky, which I see them trying to do against Liverpool. As for the visitors, they’re backline is in ridiculous form, with back to back shutouts against Manchester City and Real Madrid. They’ve certainly allowed more goals on the road than at Anfield, but I believe Newcastle will be extra cautious and play for a draw or a late winner.

Prediction: Liverpool Win 1-0 (+1000) or 1-1 Draw (+700)

Arsenal vs Manchester United Best Bets

Best Bet: Arsenal Win/Both Teams to Score No (+163) BetOnline

Arsenal currently sits in 2nd place in the EPL. They are 9 points behind Liverpool, and just 3 points away from being out of the Top 4. Against a Manchester United team that hasn’t been playing great, I expect Arsenal to dominate, secure three easy points, and shutout the visitors.

Our hosts have not been home recently, but their offense certainly traveled with them, netting 5 each in their L2 on the road. At home recently, they shutout Nottingham Forest, 3-nil, drew with Liverpool, 2-2, and shutout Shakhtar Donetsk in the UCL, 1-nil. Manchester United has certainly been playing better recently, but let’s talk about their performance on the road.

So they only have one win, they have not been scoring nearly as much as they do at Old Trafford, and they face one of the toughest backlines in all of Europe. Arsenal is incredibly motivated to get this win at home, especially with Manchester City having an easy one. I trust the Gunners to focus and take care of business like they’ve been doing at home all season long.

Arsenal has 4 home shutouts this year, and have 9 total all season. I think they get another one against Manchester United, and for +163 it’s worth the bet.

Prediction: Arsenal Wins 2-0 (+750)
