Panthers vs Jets NHL Predictions & Picks (11/19)
You don’t have to go back too far to find the last inter-conference meeting between these potential Stanley Cup contenders.
The clubs just collided at Amerant Arena on Saturday night, ending in a 5-0 victory for the Panthers over the Jets. Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart led Florida’s offensive charge with three points apiece while Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside all 27 shots he faced for his first shutout victory over the 2024-25 season.
The victory snapped a two-game skid for the Panthers, who are now 8-2 SU across their last 10 outings. Meanwhile, the Jets have now lost back-to-back outings for the first time this year as they were outscored 9-1 in their losses to the Panthers and Tampa Bay Lightning.
Nevertheless, it’s possible that the latest outcome was a fluke. After all, the Jets had previously won four straight meetings with the Panthers before Saturday’s loss. Winnipeg now gets to return to Canada Life Centre, where it has won eight of its last nine home games. At the same time, it’s worth pointing out that the Panthers are currently on a six-game win streak on the road.
Do the Panthers have what it takes to win consecutive meetings with the Jets?
If the Jets want to avoid another loss to the Panthers, they need to play better in their defensive end. The good news for tonight’s hosts is that they’re allowing the fourth-fewest goals per game in the league this season. Meanwhile, the Panthers are tied allowing the 15th-fewest goals.
Both sides know how to score, though, as Winnipeg averages 4.11 goals per game (2nd) while Florida scores an average of 3.61 (5th). Having said that, the Jets’ superior power play (36.5%, 1st) gives them the edge in the special teams department over the Panthers (21.8%, 11th).
Time will tell if Connor Hellebuyck can bounce back to give the Jets an edge in the goaltending department, too. Even though the two-time Vezina Trophy winner’s last performance left much to be desired, Hellebuyck has a great shot at rebounding at home, where he’s 7-1-0 with a 1.88 goals-against average, .934 save percentage, and two shutouts in eight starts this season.
It could be quite the goaltending battle if Bobrovsky maintains his stellar road play. The Panthers netminder has played to a 4-1-0 record through his first five away appearances while backstopping his way to a .918 SV% and 2.41 GAA.
How will Panthers G Sergei Bobrovsky build off Saturday’s shutout performance?
After losing to the Panthers over the weekend, I predict the Jets will get some revenge tonight. Winnipeg has been playing lights-out at Canada Life Centre this season and even though Florida has played well on the road, all positive streaks eventually come to an end. It also helps that the Jets won each of their last two home games against the Panthers.
With that being said, let’s take the Jets on the moneyline and move on to the best prop bet pick!

Best Panthers vs Jets NHL Player Prop (11/19)
Let’s show defensemen some love by going with Aaron Ekblad o1.5 shots on goal (-117) for tonight’s best Panthers vs. Jets NHL player prop bet.
Ekblad didn’t have any issues hitting the Over on this prop on Saturday, finishing the win against the Jets with three shots on goal. Even though that was only the 28-year-old defender’s seventh time hitting the Over this season, I’m still confident in this prop. For starters, the Over is 4-2 in his last six road games and he’s finished with three-plus SOG in each of the last three outings during that stretch.
Ekblad is also going up against the Jets, who are allowing the sixth-most SOG to defensemen this season. In fact, the Over is 6-0 in the Windsor, Ontario native’s last six encounters with Winnipeg, further highlighting just how enticing this prop bet is.
