See Picks & Statistics For The GameTuesday, March 28’s NHL schedule features several exciting matchups, including a west coast showdown between the Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights. With both sides looking to win the Pacific Division crown in the coming weeks, die-hard hockey enthusiasts won’t want to miss tonight’s Oilers vs Golden Knights clash.
This game marks the Oilers’ second outing in as many nights. They paid a visit to the Arizona Coyotes last night and walked out of Mullett Arena with the 5-4 victory. Leon Draisaitl scored his 46th goal of the year and added an assist while Ryan Nugent-Hopkins tallied the game-winning marker just past the halfway point of the third period.
Meanwhile, the Golden Knights haven’t been in action since Saturday’s 4-3 overtime win against the Oilers. Four different Vegas players found the back of the net in the victory while Nicolas Roy scored 2:26 into the overtime frame to lift his team to its 46th win of the campaign.
Tuesday’s Oilers vs Golden Knights matchup is chalked full of betting opportunities. The good news is that Betting News has not only gathered the game’s latest odds but also a prediction and the best bet to make.

Oilers vs Golden Knights Game Preview
Both teams have been blazing hot as of late. While the Oilers are 10-2-1 in their last 13 games, the Golden Knights are 11-2-0 during that span and have won four straight ahead of tonight’s tilt.
However, beating the Oilers has been a struggle for the Golden Knights. While Vegas picked up a win against Edmonton just a few days ago, it was just the second time that the Golden Knights won in the last seven meetings between these two clubs.
If you go back a little further, you’d even see that the Golden Knights have lost three straight home games to the Oilers, having not defeated them at T-Mobile Arena since a 3-0 victory on Feb. 26, 2020.
It’s going to be hard for the Golden Knights to end that streak when the Oilers have been playing well away from Rogers Place. Edmonton has won four of its last five road games, which includes victories over tough teams like the Boston Bruins and Seattle Kraken.
While Vegas is 9-2 straight up in its last 11 games at T-Mobile Arena, it hasn’t been flawless over that stretch. For starters, the power play only has a 12.5% success rate in those games and now it must face the Oilers, whose penalty kill is a solid 80.0% over the last six road games.
It was also two home games ago that the Golden Knights were embarrassed 7-2 by the Calgary Flames. Although the former did bounce back with a 7-2 victory over their own, it came against the Columbus Blue Jackets — the worst team in the entire NHL. In other words, the Golden Knights still have much to prove.
It won’t be a shock if the goaltenders decide tonight’s Oilers vs Golden Knights outcome. Daily Faceoff lists Jonathan Quick as Vegas’ likely starter. He’s gone 5-1-0 in seven appearances since being traded to Sin City, tallying a 2.93 goals-against average and .908 save percentage with a shutout along the way.
Meanwhile, it’s looking like Stuart Skinner will get the nod to man the Oilers’ crease. The 24-year-old goaltender is 8-1-1 in his previous 10 starts, backstopping to a 2.99 GAA and .902 SV%.
Oilers vs Golden Knights Prediction and Picks
Oilers vs Golden Knights Prediction: Golden Knights 4, Oilers 3
Oilers vs Golden Knights Picks: Golden Knights ML (Best Value: +105 at BetOnline) & Over 6.5 Goals (Best Value: -158 at BetOnline)
After beating the Oilers on the weekend, I like the Golden Knights winning this one. Edmonton barely escaped with a victory against Arizona last night and might not be completely rested. Meanwhile, Vegas has played terrific lately and has found ways to win at home even if it’s been far from perfect. With plus-odds on the moneyline, backing the home team is a no-brainer.
I also like the idea of the total going over 6.5 goals. After all, each of the three previous Oilers vs Golden Knights matchups this season has gone over 6.5 goals, finishing with a 4-3 final score each time. With Edmonton averaging 5.5 goals in its last six games while Vegas averages 4.3 in its previous seven, I expect to see a strong offensive showing from both sides.
