We have 2 polar opposite teams playing each other tonight. The Vancouver Canucks (14-6-1) are one of the hottest teams in the league right now. They’ll be playing the San Jose Sharks (3-15-2) who are the worst team in the league.
These 2 teams have met twice already this year and the Canucks won both games. They handed out an absolute beat down in one of the games, winning 10-1. It was the second game in a row that the Sharks allowed 10 goals in one game.
San Jose really has had no bright spots this year. They rank last in the league offensively. Last in goals scored, shots on goal and shooting percentage. Sharks defense is also terrible, ranking last in the league for goals and shots on goal allowed. They're on a 3-game losing streak and are 3-6-1 in their last 10 game.
Sharks' goaltender Kaapo Kahkonen will be starting tonight, and his numbers are terrible. He has a 4.30 GAA with a .887 save percentage with a 1-6-0 record. Their main goalie is Mackenzie Blackwood and he has not been any better. A 3.80 GAA and .897 save percentage is nothing to brag about.
Vancouver is rolling and it doesn’t look like they are slowing down!
Now let's talk about the other side of things. The Canucks have been a huge surprise to the league. They sit in 2nd place of the Pacific Division and are just 6-4 in their last 10 games, so looking to improve. Vancouver is coming off a nice 5-1 win over the Kraken after losing their previous 3 out of 4 games.
Team Captain Quinn Hughes leads the way for the Canucks. He leads the team with 32 points and has really developed as a star like his brother Jack. Difference is, I don’t think any of us saw this coming from Quinn.
Follows Hughes are guys like JT Miller and Elias Pettersson who have been great offense contributors. Brock Boeser has been doing his thing and Filip Hronek has 19 assists as well.
Goaltenders Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith have been awesome. Their main goalie has been Demko who has a 10-5 record with 2 shutouts. He has a 2.18 GAA and a .925 save percentage so far this season. Backup Casey DeSmith, who is expected to play tonight, has been solid with a 4-1-1 record.
It’s going to see what kind of beating the Canucks have in store for the Sharks tonight.

Vancouver Canucks vs San Jose Sharks Prediction and Picks
Prediction and Pick: Vancouver Canucks -1.5 (-115) MyBookie
No matter what way you look at it, it’s all Canucks tonight's. Between the outcome of the 2 games this year and the way each team is playing – it’s clearly the Nucks.
Vancouver should come out early and then look for them to dominate the whole game. I don’t know if they’ll put up 10 goals, but they are most definitely clearing this puck line.
I can’t believe the value we’re getting here as well. It makes no sense to me that the juice is this low, but it’s not scaring me away. This is a system play that has been printing so far this year and we’re pushing the button again.
Player Prop: JT Miller Anytime Goal (+135) MyBookie
We know there’s going to be goals tonight and possibly plenty of them. Miller has scored in his last 3 out of 4 games and 5 out of his last 7 games. Miller has a total of 13 goals on the year.
Big piece of this team's offense and he’s tied for the team lead in goals with 13. He also a scored a goal in each of the 2 games they played this year. At +135, we’re getting great value on a guy with a great matchup and past history.
He plays on the 2nd line with Anthony Beauvillier and Brock Boeser and leads the top power play line. He seems to play well against these guys, and I expect him to get the oppurtunites to score again.
