See Picks & Statistics For The GameBack again with another Game 4 and we hit yesterday with the Bruins Moneyline. Tonight, we head to Los Angeles for the next game of the Oilers vs Kings series. The Oilers laid a beatdown on the Kings in Game 3 on Friday night.
Los Angeles didn’t look good in their 1st home game of the series. Goalie Cam Talbot allowing 6 goals on 40 shots is not ideal in your home opener. The Kings must readjust for tonight’s game to slow the Oilers offense down.
The Oilers did everything right last game. Offensively, they were unstoppable and defensively, on point to say the least. Holding the Kings to only 28 shots and 1 goal.
Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner continued his great play from the regular season. Allowing only 1 goal in a playoff game is a tough feat, but his team backed him up with plenty of offense and an early lead.
Edmonton will look to repeat their performance from Friday night. It will take a lot to slow this team down, but the Kings did it once on their ice, so it’s time to do it again.
Can the Kings find a way to tie this series up at 2 games each?
As we saw, the Kings already won a game vs the Oilers, so they know they can do it. Thier 5-4 OT win in Edmonton was gigantic for them, but to come home and lose the next game 6-1 is embarrassing.
First thing the Kings need to do is tighten up on defense and try to smother this Oilers offense. I know they’re the best in the league, but if you can try to drown out McDavid or Draisaitl by constant man coverage – it’s a start.
The Kings know they’re going to score, it’s just a matter of how many times. When they even won a game, they allowed 4 and that is too many. Slowing down that Oilers offense has to be #1 on their list.
On defense, they need to protect their goalie better. Cam Talbot faced 40 shots last game and that is a lot. It’s 6 shots more than the Oiler averaged all season, so they’re taking advantage of their opportunities.
Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

After last game, I don’t know how much more the Kings have left in the tank. They were nowhere to be found last game at all, both offensively and defensively.
If the Kings want to win this game, they’ll need to come out firing and get an early lead to protect. Now, do I think that happens? Not at all.
The Oilers are dialed in right now. They’re really starting to look like they can make a run. We won’t get ahead of ourselves there, but they are definitely the better team.
I expect the Oilers to do what the Kings need to and get out to an early lead. Skinner has been absolutely on point all season and should come into this game feeling great after Game 3.
We’re not going to be scared here and we’re taking the puckline at plus money.
Nugget: Leon Draisaitl for 3+ shots on goal at +112. Anytime this man is at plus money we’re playing it, but in the playoffs is like a gift.
