Two of the best teams in their Conferences battle tonight and we have the Lightning vs Knights picks for you. The Tampa Bay Lightning will take on the Vegas Golden Knights at the T-Mobile Arena. These 2 teams haven’t seen each other since October when the Lightning won 4-3.
Vegas is 41-20-8 this season and 1st in the Pacific Division. They come into this game on a 2-game winning streak and are 6-2-2 in their last 10 games. The Knights are a really good home team, with a 26-7-3 record.
There is no shortage of offense for this team. Vegas ranks 4th in goals scored and shots on goal per game. They have the 2nd best power play and are 8th in shoot percentage. This teams’ big guys are having themselves a year as well.
Defensively, they play smart and tough defense. They rank 7th in goals allowed and 4th in shots on goal allowed per game. Now their penalty kill is terrible, ranking 24th in the league, but back to playing smart hockey – the Knights commit the least number of penalties per game.
Goalie Ilya Samsonov will be in net tonight. He has a 15-9-3 record with a 2.81 GAA and a .889 save percentage. Samsonov is having success splitting time again after having 2 good seasons in Toronto doing the same.
Tampa looks to get back in the win column after loss to Utah HC

Lightning players Nikita Kucherov, Victor Hedman and Andrei Vasilevskiy celebrate a win.
The Lightning are 40-24-5 this year and are 3rd in the Atlantic Division. They come into this game off a loss to Utah last night. Tampa is 5-4-1 in their last 10 games and are only 16-16-3 on the road this season.
This is another team packed out on offense. Guys like Nikita Kucherov and Jake Guentzel lead the way of this team who is 2nd in goals scored and 11th in shots on goal per game. Their power play ranks 5th in the league and their shooting percentage is 3rd in the league. This team peppers their opposing goalies.
Tampa has put in work on defense and aren’t bad. They rank 7th in goals allowed and 15th in shots on goal allowed per game. Like their power play, they have a good penalty kill, ranking 7th in the league. Good special teams really helps complete a team and they have that.
Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy will be in net tonight. He is 33-18-3 this season with a 2.23 GAA and a .920 save percentage. Vasi did play in the game earlier this year and secured the win for Tampa. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

I’m going with the home team here. Vegas is such a good home team and the better team, in my opinion. I think we definitely see a low scoring game with these 2 goalies, so I definitely lean with the under as well.
Tampa’s defense will definitely pose a problem for Vegas’ offense, which is another reason I think we see an under. Vasi is 3-2 in his last 5 game in T-Mobile Arena with a 3.43 GAA and a .892 save percentage. Going off that win pattern of every other game, he is due for a loss. That means nothing, just a thought (lol).
We’re going to take Vasi for under 25.5 saves for -110. He has come under the line in his last 2 games in T-Mobile Arena and the way Tampa should slow the Knights down, we should see around 20 saves.
Going off Vasi’s history plus the way Vegas is playing – I got to take them. Also give me Jake Guentzel to record a point for -160. He has recorded a point in his last 7 games vs the Knights and last 3 games in Vegas.
