We have a rematch of the 2019 Stanley Cup finals as the Boston Bruins (24-8-9) take on the St. Louis Blues (21-18-1) at the Enterprise Center. This will be the first time these 2 teams faceoff this year and the Blues will be ready to defend home ice.
Boston has come out hot this year, leading the Atlantic Division with 57 points. They have cooled off as of recently, dropping their last 3 game. In their last 10 games, they are 5-2-3 and are coming off a tough 2-1 loss to the Golden Knights in overtime.
The Bruins are pretty solid on the road with a 12-5-6 record. They’re averaging 3.29 goals (T11th in the league) and 30 shots per game (17th in the league). Boston will look to avoid overtime has they’ve struggled in OT on the road this season.
David Pastrnak has picked up right where he left off since last season. He has 25 goals and 32 assists, tied for 5ht most in the league for points with 57. Newly named captain Brad Marchand is right behind Pasta with 37 points and Charlie Coyle has stepped up with 30 points.
Expected in goal is Linus Ullmark who has been day-to-day with a lower body injury. If he does not get the go ahead, back up Jermey Swayman will get the start. These 2 have split the year so far and are one of the league’s best tandems.
Does St. Louis have what it takes to beat Boston?
This Blues team has been interesting this year, getting some wins you wouldn’t expect. They defend home ice pretty well with a 13-7-0 record and are coming into this game off a win.
St. Louis ranks 5th in the Central Division and is right in the thick of competing for a Wild Card spot. They only sit 1 game behind the Oilers and Kraken for the 2nd spot.
This Blues team is very, as these kids would say, “mid”. Their offense statistically is nothing fantastic and their defense is the same. They have the 2nd worse power play in the league. One thing they do well is staying out of the penalty box. St. Louis commits the least number of penalties in the league.
On offense, the Blues are led by Jordan Kyrou, Pavel Buchnevich and Rob Thomas. Thomas leads the team in both assists (27) and points (43) with Buchnevich behind him with 32 points. Kyrou has 30 points and coming off a hat trick in their last game vs the Rangers.
Expected in net tonight is Jordan Binnington who is very familiar with this Boston team. He has a 14-11-1 record this season and is 1-2-1 in his career vs the Bruins in the regular season. Binnington has a 3.01 GAA and a .907 save percentage on the year.

Boston Bruins vs St. Louis Blues Prediction and Picks
Prediction and Pick: Boston Bruins Moneyline (-164) MyBookie
This is a perfect bounce back spot for a team like Boston coming in on a 3-game skid. In my opinion, they are well protected in net regardless of who starts and that’s going to be a problem for the Blues.
The only thing that scares me is the Blues at home because of how good they’ve been (they also burned me a few times fading them!). I do think that this losing streak will motivate the Bruins to a win.
I believe we’ll see a close game as well. Boston will be pressuring hard all game, but the Blues will find ways to score. I lean towards the under on the game even though it’s not an official play.
In the end, this should be a layup for the Bruins. We’re going to pay the juice man for the W tonight!
