1. Lane Hutson Assist -125 on BetOnline:

Hutson has been rolling on the top power play unit
Can Lane Hutson be the 2nd NHL player to break a major record this season? While it is nowhere near as impressive or epic as Ovechkin breaking the all time goal record, the Montreal Canadiens’ rookie defenseman can make history too. He is two assists away from tying the NHL rookie defensemen assist total, held by Larry Murphy. Something that hasn’t been broken since 1980.
Hutson has a great matchup tonight to feed into this narrative. The Canadiens will host the Detroit Red Wings. It should be a competitive game as the Red Wings still have a slight chance to take the last wildcard spot from the Canadiens. Meaning Montreal should have all the motivation in the world to precent them from winning. Huston has 10 assists in his last 10 games, although those came in 5 games.
The Red Wings have been struggling in net all season. They allow the 12th most goals against per game. Detroit also has the worst penalty kill in the league, a place Hutson and the Canadiens can capitalize on. This is a tasty NHL best bet, especially since Hutson has an assist in 4 of his 5 career games against Detroit.

2. JJ Peterka Point -105 on BetOnline:

JJ Peterka is beginning to rip puck for the Buffalo Sabres
Another year, another missed playoffs from the Buffalo Sabres. And while it has been very frustrating for Buffalo fans, the young core continues to grow including winger JJ Peterka. And while the team struggled early into the season, the Sabres offense has looked impressive in this last quarter of the year. In fact Peterka has a point in 75% of the last 20 games he played. So why is his point only -105?
Tonight the Sabres will host the Carolina Hurricanes. The Hurricanes are one of the strongest teams defensively in the league, only allowing the 7th least amount of goals against per game this season. However, now that they have locked in a playoff spot, they have been playing less tight. Over the last ten games the Hurricanes are 16th for GA/GP, which is right in the middle of the pack. This lets us get a HUGE discount on Peterka.
Peterka now has a point in 8 of the last 10 games and 10 points in those games. He has been better at home too with a point in 63% of all home games. This tough opponent gives us the discount to make this an NHL best bet. The fact that Buffalo lead the league in goals for per game over the last 10 is just the cherry on top.

3. Mitch Marner assist+100 on BetOnline:

Mitch Marner has been on fire lately, making his assist a best bet
The Toronto Maple Leafs are sitting on top of the Atlantic, and it’s a playoff spot that could be vital for a deep run. Holding this spot allows them to take on either the Ottawa Senators or whoever takes the last wildcard spot. But more importantly, it lets them avoid playing one of the Florida teams in round one. They will want to fend off the Panthers tonight to hold this spot.
Luckily Mitch Marner has a great history against the Panthers. He has a point in 13 of the last 18 games he has played against them and has an assist in 10 of those games, with pleanty of multi-point games in the mix. Not only is the top Atlantic spot something the Leafs want to protect, but a big win in Florida would help boost the confidence of the team, as the Panthers have knocked out the Maple Leafs in the playoffs two years ago.
The Panthers are banged up right now too and have been slumping. They will be with second line center Sam Bennett and top defenseman Aaron Ekblad. This should help the Leafs take advantage of this opportunity. Toronto currently has the 3rd best offense in the league over the last 10 games. And while Florida is a better team defensively, that only helps give us this prop at a discount, making it an NHL best bet.
