1. Nico Hischier 3+ Points +170 on BetOnline:

Nico Hischier and the Devils need a win tonight in Carolina
The New Jersey Devils are in a tough spot. They are down Jack Hughes, Luke Hughes, Brandon Dillion and potentially Seigenthaler tonight. They are also facing elimination and will have to play in Carolina against a Hurricanes team who have been dominant all series long. So let’s get some value on some desperation plays, like Devils SOGs.
Nico Hischier, captain of the Devils, has been one of the few bright spots for the team this series. He has three points in the series and has been playing big minutes. He has also been firing pucks indiscriminately. He has hit his 3+ SOG prop in every game this series while averaging 5.5 shot attempts. Over the last two games he had 7 and 6 shot attempts. He is on the top line and power play unit as well.
While the Hurricanes are one of the best teams against SOGs, they have also taken early leads this series. That usually amounts to gamescripts going in favor of the Devils to do all they can to regain the lead. Hischier has averaged 22.5 minutes per game this series and is used in all situations. Leaving it to the captain to try his best to keep his team alive. At nearly 2x your money, this tasty prop is an NHL best bet tonight.

2. Quinton Byfield Point -120 on BetOnline:

Byfield has been playing a big game this playoffs
The home team has won every game in the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings series. And one player who is much better when playing at home is Quinton Byfield. He young player has really found his game this season and plays 2C with offensive powerhouse Kevin Fiala on his line. He also is playing top power play minutes along with Kopitar and Kempe.
But what is really enticing here is just how leaky the Oilers have been. They have allowed the most goals against per game in the playoffs. Averaging 5.33 goals against per game. This was even worse on the road then at home, allowing 6 goals in both games in L.A this series. The Oilers have had to outrace the Kings to get their wins, which may be much more difficult on the road.
Byfield has three points in this series, all from the two home games. He had a point in 58% of all home games this season. Better yet, the coaching staff is putting more trust in him. He was averaging about 19 minutes TOI a game in the regular season and is now averaging 23.4 minutes per game in the playoffs. Add this all up and it’s easy to see why Byfield point looks like an NHL best bet at a discount.

3. Morgan Rielly o1.5 SOG -110 on BetOnline:

Morgan Rielly has been firing pucks this playoffs
Not a name you often see in these articles, but the top defenseman Morgan Rielly for the Toronto Maple Leafs has really turned his offensive game up a level in this series. In fact over the last ten playoff games played he has hit his 1.5 SOG line 8 times. We are getting a deep discount here as he only hit this SOG line in 45% of all games this season. So let’s take it and run away with it!
Morgan Rielly has a fantastic history against the Ottawa Senators. Over the last 19 games against them he has hit this shots on goal line 80% of the time, only missing in four games. He averaged 5.1 shot attempts when he plays them, which is well over twice the amount of shots he needs, a big reason this is an NHL best bet. The Senators are facing elimination and will do everything they can to keep their playoffs alive.
It is this desperation that could work in Rielly’s favor. The Senators won’t make it easy to get near the net, so shots from the blueline may be the strategy that the Maple Leafs take to get puck deep. But more importantly, the Senators cannot keep themselves out fo the penalty box. They are leading the playoffs with an average of 6 penalties for per game. This is great news for Rielly who quarterbacks the 2nd power play unit. Oh yeah, and there is some history between him and the Senators that has came out on the ice.
