See Picks & Statistics For The GameWe’re heading to the North to good old Canada for tonight’s matchup. The Colorado Avalanche will travel to Ontario to take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. These 2 teams played 10 days ago and the Avs won 7-4. We have you covered for Avalanche vs Leafs picks for tonight.
Colorado is 41-24-3 this season and 3rd in the Central Division. The Avs come into this game on a 2-game winning streak and are 8-1-1 in their last 10 games. They have struggled a bit on the road vs home with a 18-14-1 record on the road.
This team is absolutely stacked on offense and made 2 big moves before the deadline. They lost Mikko Rantanen to a contract dispute and received Martin Necas in his place. Then they went ahead and traded for Brock Nelson from the Islanders.
The Avs play decent defense as well. They are led by one of the league’s best defensemen in Cale Makar. Colorado ranks 12th in goals allowed and 3rd in shots on goal allowed. They commit just over 3 penalties a game but have the 14th best penalty kill in the league.
We’re expected to see Mackenzie Blackwood in net. He has a 24-16-6 record with a 2.38 GAA and a .914 save percentage. Blackwood was brought over in a trade with the Sharks earlier this season.
Leafs will look to keep it rolling tonight at home vs the Avs

Colorado’s Sam Girard skates past Toronto’s William Nylander into the offensive zone.
Toronto is 40-24-3 so far this year and are 3rd in the Atlantic Division. They come into this game off a win over the Flames Monday night. The Leafs are 5-4-1 in their last 10 games but are 21-13-1 at home which definitely works in their favor against a strong Colorado team.
We have another team who is completely stacked on offense. Although they didn’t make any big moves like Colorado, Toronto is still a major contender. The Leafs rank 8th for goals scored and 18th for shots on goal per game. They shoot well with the 6th best shooting percentage in the league as well as having the 7th best power play.
Defensively, the Leafs are very middle of the road. They rank 17th in goals allowed and 24th in shots on goal allowed per game. Their goalies are definitely getting peppered from time to time. Toronto commits about 4 penalties per game and ranks 16th for penalty kill.
Goalie Anthony Stolarz is expected to start. He is 13-8-3 this season with a 2.40 GAA and a .918 save percentage. The Leafs picked him up from the Panthers this offseason and earned the starting position on the team. Let’s check out the odds and get into the picks.

I really like for the Avs to take this one. In my opinion, they are the better team and are also buzzing their last 10 games. I know that Toronto is the world’s best regular season team (I’m just kidding, but you know what I mean lol), but I don’t think their defense can handle the Avs offense.
This game should be a competitive one and I think we see a goal fest like their previous game. Both goalies do have a sub 3.00 GAA, but something tells me the offenses take over in this one. These 2 goalies both played in last game, so we should see some adjustments as well.
Give me Cale Makar to record 3 or more shots on goal. He’s just coming off a miss and hit his 2 games before but has hit his last 4 straight vs Toronto. Makar has also hit his last 2 games in Scotiabank Arena.
I also like William Nylander to record 2 or more points. We will get plus money on this one, just not sure how much. He has recorded this line in his last 2 games vs the Avs, including the game from earlier this season.
