The 2022-23 Stanley Cup Final continues on Thursday, June 8 as the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers move their series to the FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, FL for Game 3. The Golden Knights vs Panthers series has been one-sided thus far as Vegas has a chance to take a commanding 3-0 lead with a victory Thursday night.
The Golden Knights head to the Sunshine State feeling good about themselves following Game 2’s 7-2 blowout victory. Jonathan Marchessault and Brett Howden each scored twice while four other Vegas players recorded multi-point efforts. Goaltender Adin Hill also made 29 saves on 31 shots on goal, backstopping his way to a third consecutive victory.
Can the Golden Knights take one step closer to their first-ever Stanley Cup with another win? Or will playing on home ice help the Panthers get back on track?
Here’s a look at everything you know heading into Game 3 of the Golden Knights vs Panthers Stanley Cup Final series, from the latest betting odds to a prediction with the best betting recommendation, courtesy of Betting News.

Golden Knights vs Panthers Game 3 Preview
There’s no questioning that the Golden Knights have been the better team to begin this series. After all, they’ve outscored the Panthers 12-4 through Games 1 and 2. In fact, the dozen goals that Vegas has scored are the most through two games in Stanley Cup Final history.
And the thing is, it’s not like it’s just one or two players scoring all the goals. The Golden Knights have already gotten goals from nine different players, ranging from top stars like Marchessault and Mark Stone to defensemen Alec Martinez and Zach Whitecloud. Whenever the Panthers think they’ve shut down one player, another Golden Knight steps up.
Speaking of stepping up, Marchessault has dodged all of Florida’s attempts to silence him. The ex-Panther has three goals in two games against his former team and has found the back of the twin 10 times over his past nine outings.
Marchessault is available at +200 odds on BetOnline Sportsbook to be an any time goal scorer, which is certainly a bet worth exploring.
In other words, the Panthers need goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky to play better than he has. After playing to a 1.12 goals-against average and .966 save percentage with a shutout in the Eastern Conference Finals, Bobrovsky has a 5.52 GAA and .826 SV% through the first two Stanley Cup Final matchups.
Although returning to FLA Live Arena should help Bobrovsky’s confidence, winning will be easier said than done. The Golden Knights have played well away from Sin City, going 7-2 in their last nine road games. They nearly doubled their opponents’ offensive output over that stretch (35-17) with a plus-2.0 goal margin.
Not only must the Panthers figure out how to halt the Golden Knights’ goal-scoring, but they need to solve their own offensive issues, too. Four goals through two games are never going to be enough to stop a team as deep as Vegas, especially when Marchessault and Howden have already outscored Florida by themselves.
Players like Aleksander Barkov, Sam Bennett, and Carter Verhaeghe have yet to score in this series. They must step up and play better if the Panthers are to have any shot at winning the Cup. Only time will tell if they can solve Hill, who’s made 62 saves on 66 shots to begin the series.
The Panthers are better than they’ve shown thus far, but it’s up to them to prove it in Game 3.
Golden Knights vs Panthers Game 3 Prediction and Picks
Golden Knights vs Panthers Prediction: Golden Knights 5, Panthers 3
Golden Knights vs Panthers: Golden Knights ML (Best Value: +102 at BetOnline) & Over 5.5 Total Goals (Best Value: -140 at BetOnline)
As the Panthers attempt to get back on track, I can’t bring myself to doubt the Golden Knights. Vegas has been the clear-cut better team thus far and is showing no signs of slowing down as long as they continue filling the net. The Panthers have a lot to prove, but it’s going to be tough to turn things around with how poor their defense and goaltending have been.
I also recommend backing the over on the 5.5-goal total. After all, the total has been surpassed in each of the first two Stanley Cup Final games, meaning the over is now 8-4 in the past 12 Golden Knights vs Panthers showdowns. Considering that the two sides averaged 6.9 total goals in those games, expect even more offense Thursday night.
