Golden Knights vs Kings NHL Predictions & Picks (10/30)
Tonight’s showdown is between the Pacific Division’s top teams. The Golden Knights currently sit atop the division with 15 points in their first 10 games while the Kings are closing in with 12 points in the same number of outings.
It’s also the rivals’ first showdown after colliding three times last season, resulting in two victories for the Golden Knights. In fact, Vegas has now won six of its last nine meetings with Los Angeles.
The Golden Knights will look to keep that trend going as they ride the momentum stemming from Monday’s 5-0 win over the Calgary Flames. Nicolas Roy and Keegan Kolesar each recorded three-point performances while Adin Hill stopped all 16 shots sent his way for his first shutout victory of the 2024-25 campaign.
As for the Kings, they’re returning home after last night’s 4-2 loss to the lowly San Jose Sharks. Los Angeles didn’t lead for a second in the game, leaving time to tell if head coach Jim Hiller can get his squad back on track tonight.
Can the Kings rebound from last night’s disappointing loss to the Kings?
Offensively, the Golden Knights have the advantage as they lead the NHL in goals per game while the Kings are tied for the 19th-best output. Vegas’ offensive potential has been fully displayed throughout its win streak, outscoring its last four opponents by an average of 3.5 goals per game.
The Golden Knights also boast the third-best power play in the league, which is bad news for a Kings penalty kill that sits 11th-worst. Considering how Los Angeles also owns the No. 28 power play, it’s easy to see who has the edge regarding special teams.
Fresh off his first shutout win, the Golden Knights are likely starting Hill between the pipes again. It’ll be interesting to see if he comes close to replicating that success given that the former 2015 third-rounder recorded a sub-.900 save percentage in each of his five previous starts.
As for the Kings, they’re probably going with Darcy Kuemper for the fifth time this season. He played to a .923 SV% in Saturday’s 3-2 win over the Utah Hockey Club, so it remains to be seen if he has another strong showing in store.
Will G Adin Hill lead the Golden Knights to another victory?
Even though they’re winless on the road, I’m predicting another Golden Knights win tonight. They have superior offense, defense, and special teams than the Kings, who just lost to one of the NHL’s worst teams less than 24 hours ago. That’s bound to affect Los Angeles mentally, so look for Vegas to pounce on that opportunity to solidify its Pacific Division lead.
For the best NHL bet in this game, I’m taking the Golden Knights on the moneyline.

Best Golden Knights vs Kings NHL Player Prop (10/30)
After sifting through BetOnline’s Golden Knights vs. Kings player prop bets, I’m going with the Over on Jack Eichel’s 3.5-shot total (+102).
Although he’s only finished with the Over twice this season, Eichel has begun to heat up. The former Boston University product has exceeded his project shot total in back-to-back outings, finishing each contest with four SOG. There’s a decent chance that trend continues tonight given that the Kings are allowing the 11th-most SOG to centers this season.
After finishing with four-plus SOG in four of his last five trips to crypto.com Arena, Eichel is on track to nail the Over yet again tonight.
Best Golden Knights vs. Kings Player Prop: Jack Eichel o3.5 Shots on Goal (+102)
