I feel like the under will be a popular pick based on previous games in this series. We saw 6 goals in Games 1 and 2, but we had a penalty shot and an empty netter to start off the series.

During the regular season, we saw 3 of 4 games go over between these two squads. The goaltending in this series has been unbelievable from Igor Shesterkin. On the other side, Akira Schmid has stepped up and gotten two much needed wins for New Jersey, stopping 96.6% of shots in the last to games.

For even money, I’ll bet on a little goalie regression in Game 5.

I’ll sound like a broken record, but we’re betting this until it doesn’t hit. I am very surprised the books didn’t raise this up to -150 after the series he has had, but let me break it down for you again.

Game 5 Prediction

Back at home, I think Jack Hughes might find a different gear tonight. The man is all in and certainly does not want his season to end. In front of his home crowd, I believe he will be fired up again this evening.

I predict we go to overtime tied 3-3, and our young hero finds the net to win it for New Jersey.
