See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Avalanche will be in St. Louis to take on the Blues in Game 4 of their second round series. They hold a 2-1 lead in the series after downing the Blues on the road in Game 3.
The Blues’ goaltender, Jordan Binnington, left less than seven minutes into the first period in Game 3. He was diagnosed with a knee injury and will not be able to return in the series.
Instead, St. Louis will rely on Ville Husso to get them through the second round. He stopped 19 of 23 shots in Game 3 and could not quite do enough to keep his team in the running.
Colorado got their best offensive production from Artturi Lehkonen who scored twice in their last game. They rebounded well after their Game 2 loss and have the series where they want it heading into Game 4.
According to Bovada Sportsbook, the Avalanche are the favorite for a victory on the road. The Blues will try and adjust with a new goaltender to tie the series back up before returning to Colorado.

Trends for Game 4
For the Blues, Ryan O’Reilly has points in 7 straight games. He has 6 goals and 4 assists in that span and is leading the Blues’ offense.
For the Avalanche, Gabriel Landeskog has points in every game of Round 2. He has tallied 2 goals and 2 assists against the Blues and looks to continue the streak into Game 4.
The Over 1.5 goals in the first period has hit in 7 of the last 8 games following a Blues’ loss. After their loss in Game 3, this trend has a chance to hit again. It currently sits at -162 at BetUS and is an option as a prop bet for this game.
The Avalanche have won their last 8 games following a road win. They will have to follow their last road win with another tough road test in Game 4, but with their offense clicking and a backup goaltender in for St. Louis, they will be the team to watch.
Avalanche vs Blues Prediction and Best Bets
Avalanche vs. Blues Prediction: Avalanche 4 Blues 2
Avalanche vs. Blues Best Bets: Avalanche -1.5 (+150 at BetOnline Sportsbook and Bovada Sportsbook)
The Avalanche will be tough to stop in Game 4. They will face the #2 goaltender for the Blues, and their offense will be lead by streaking players who are finding success against St. Louis. Expect an offensive show with lots of shots on goal. Winning by 2 goals is a good bet for Colorado, and with it at +150 the return is great.
