The NFL Season is still about two months from beginning, but on this dead day of sports, what else are we going to discuss.
The Super Bowl Champion Odds have already been released, so we did some early diving in and came up with some of our favorite “way too early” predictions and best bets on who will lift the Lombardi Trophy in February.
Keep in mind, most of this is for fun, and plenty of moves could still be made this offseason to shake up these predictions.
When the season does get going, head over to our NFL Picks page for our expert’s thoughts.
With that in mind, let’s break it down!
2024 Super Bowl Champion Odds
Listed here are the current odds to win the Super Bowl in 2024.
Odds courtesy of Bovada.
Top 10 Super Bowl Champion Odds
- Kansas City Chiefs +600
- Philadelphia Eagles +800
- Buffalo Bills +900
- Cincinnati Bengals +950
- San Francisco 49ers +950
- New York Jets +1200
- Dallas Cowboys +1600
- Baltimore Ravens +2000
- Miami Dolphins +2100
- Detroit Lions +2500
Those are the Top 10 betting favorites to win the Super Bowl in 2024. There are definitely some new names on that list that have not been in prior years.
The New York Jets come in at the 6th spot after signing Aaron Rodgers. He instantly improves this team who has been struggling to find a generational quarterback.
Although Rodgers is nearing the end of his career, I’m sure he will still perform on an elite level for at least 2-3 more years.
The other big surprise is the Detroit Lions who barely snuck in at number 10. The Lions have been creeping into the NFL playoff picture, and I think this year they actually might do just that.
The NFC North became wide open after Rodgers moved to the Jets, and with the way Amon-Ra St. Brown took off last season, he could really breakout this year.
Now, let’s take a look at some of teams with longer title odds.
Next 10 Super Bowl Champion Odds
- Jacksonville Jaguars +2800
- Los Angeles Chargers +2900
- Seattle Seahawks +2900
- Cleveland Browns +3300
- Las Vegas Raiders +3300
- New Orleans Saints +3500
- New York Giants +4200
- Green Bay Packers +4500
- New England Patriots +4800
- Minnesota Vikings +5000
We see this list feature multiple playoff teams from last year, however offseason moves have been made and Vegas has adjusted the lines.
Whether or not one of these next 10 teams can win the Super Bowl is certainly up for debate, but personally I see it staying within the Top 10.
Way Too Early Super Bowl Champion Prediction
It’s interesting to me that the defending Super Bowl Champs are currently the betting favorite to win the whole thing. We have not seen a team win back to back Super Bowls since Tom Brady and the New England Patriots did so in 2005.
For full transparency, I was born and raised in Kansas City and am undoubtedly a die-hard Chiefs fan. Obviously my heart tells me that they will indeed repeat, alas, they’re on everyone else’s radar.
The Chiefs are the NFL’s new villains, and everyone wants to be the ones to take them down.
From a betting perspective, I’m not much of a futures guy. I would rather bet the individual games throughout the season.
However, if I had to sprinkle on a few teams to win it all this early, here’s where I’d be putting my money.
Super Bowl Futures
- Kansas City Chiefs +600
- Buffalo Bills +900
- San Francisco 49ers +950
These teams are all equipped to win the Super Bowl in different ways.
Buffalo might arguably be the most complete team, having a solid QB, skill players on the outside, and a solid defense.
What Kansas City lacks on defense, Mahomes and Kelce make up for with their playmaking ability. Not to mention Andy Reid is one of the most elite play-callers of all time.
Lastly, the 49ers have serious questions at quarterback. On the bright side, their defense will once again be one of the best in the league, and with Christian McCaffrey and Deebo Samuel, anything is possible.
