Cowboys @ Giants Analysis & Breakdown
We’re back at MetLife for another Thursday Night Football, back with another divisional matchup.
This week it’s the New York Giants taking on their division rival, the Dallas Cowboys. Both teams have started the year 1-2 and look to get back to 0.500 tonight.
Dak Prescott has recorded 12 wins in 14 games against the Giants, with those two losses being his first two career games against the New York in 2016. On the flip side, Daniel Jones is 1-7 against the Cowboys, with his only win coming against Andy Dalton.
Both teams are trending in different directions this year, the Cowboys came out the gates firing. They put up 33 points against the Browns in Week 1, but sputtered in both Week 2 & 3, offensively.
Last week, Dallas went 3 quarters scoring just 6 points, but put up 19 points in the 4th quarter. They’ve struggled to sustain drives due to the lack of run game, and their defense has just as tough a time stopping the opposing team’s running game.
The Giants won their matchup last week, recording their first win of the 2024/25 NFL Season. They’d score 21 points, Danny Dimes threw for 236 yards and 2 touchdowns; with both touchdowns going to Malik Nabers.
With both teams coming into this one off a short week, having played tough games in Week 3, it could be the perfect time to snag some value on a few ‘lesser-known’ guys.

Through two weeks into the 2024/25 season, the Giants have two wideouts that have looked phenomenal; Malik Nabers AND Wan’Dale Robinson. Both guys finished with 20 combined targets last week, 2 touchdowns, 15 catches and 139 yards.
Nabers would catch both touchdowns but no other receiver finished with more than two targets. Giants’ starter Daniel Jones looks like he’s getting more comfortable with Robinson too, he’s accumulated 24 targets through 3 weeks, catching 15 for 123 yards.
Robinson has cleared this line in 2 of the 3 games he’s played this year, averaging just over 40 yards per contest. Through the first 3 weeks, the Giants have been throwing the ball a lot.
Jones is averaging 34.6 pass attempts per game, and he even completed 71% of his 34 pass attempts last week.
With New York entering this game as a 6-point home dog, I’m expecting they’ll need to continue their attack through the air. Look for Nabers and Robinson to be the beneficiaries.

It might be a little weird taking two props on the Giants side, but it’s been really tough to predict what this Dallas Cowboys team is going to look like on a week to week basis.
Like I talked about above, the Giants enter this game as a 6-point dog, AT HOME. Two teams that are both 1-2, divisional opponents and Vegas is telling us the Cowboys should be favored by an entire touchdown.
If thats the case, the Giants will be throwing the ball early and often. Dimes threw 34 passes last week and 42 in Week 1; outside of 28 attempts against Washington, his volume has been exactly where you want it to be.
Singletary represents the Giants’ 3rd most targeted offensive player, catching 9 of his 10 targets for 58 yards over 3 games. He’s had 4+ catches in 2 of his 3 games this year, including 4 catches for 44 yards last week.
The Cowboys have struggled against both the run and against pass-catching running backs out of the backfield. Dallas has allowed opposing running backs to catch 13 passes for 154 yards; allowing opposing backs to average just under 12 yards per catch.
