We’ve made it, folks.
The NFL season comes to a close on Sunday as the top dog in the AFC, the Kansas City Chiefs, take on the the top dog in the NFC, the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 57.
There are so many ways that you can enjoy one of, if not the biggest sporting event in the world, and one of them is, of course, betting on it.
You can bet on every single aspect of the Big Game, from the Coin Toss to the Color of the Gatorade Bath.
Maybe betting on what song Rihanna will sing to open the Super Bowl Halftime show is more your jam.
But, at the end of the day, some of the best bets you can make are on the actual game itself.
In this article, I will break down the best Prop Bets for the Big game.
There are so many different prop bets you can take and below, I will give you detailed reasons why these 4 are worth a look.
And the last one…is a MUST BET 😉
Ok, let’s dive in…
1. Quarterback to be Sacked First
Best Bet: Patrick Mahomes (-115)
Let’s kick this off with great value we are getting on Patrick Mahomes to be the first Quarterback sacked.
The 2 week break from the AFC Championship game has surely helped Mahomes recover from his high ankle sprain, but by all accounts, the NFL Regular season MVP is not 100%.
Marry that with the fact that the Eagles are the best front 7 in the league, racking up a league best 70 sacks this season and that is a recipe for pressure.
For the favorable -115 odds for the gimpy Mahomes to get sacked by the most tenacious front 7 in football, too good not to take.
2. What Will Happen First? Sack v Touchdown Scored
Best Bet: Touchdown (-110)
I know I just talked about how Mahomes will be harassed by the Eagles defense. So to turn around and take the odds on the TD to happen first is…interesting.
But hear me out.
Both of these offense are elite and will look to assert themselves early, with the quick pass game and the run game.
Neither are going to want to make an early mistake and if both offenses can get rolling, I expect touchdowns to roll throughout the game.
The game total is high at 51 and even if it doesn’t go over, it will get close.
I am trusting Mahomes and Hurts to lead their respective offenses down the field for an early score and then the defenses to tighten up and adjust.
3.What will happen First for Kansas City Chiefs?
Best Bet: Score Points (+108)
The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the best offenses in the NFL. But as far as offensive offeciency, they are statistically number 1.
According to Pro Football Reference, the Chiefs scored on 46.4% of their offensive plays, good for the top spot in the NFL.
They have one of the best game planners and offensive minds in NFL history in Andy Reid paired with one of the most creative offensive coordinators in the league, Eric Bienemy, with over 2 weeks to construct a game plan and run a successful ‘first 15.’
The Chiefs first 15 plays will no doubt be geared towards getting the scoring rolling early.
Match that with their league best Scoring efficiency, I love the plus money we are getting for the Chiefs to score points before having to send out Punter Tommy Townsend.
4.Both Teams Successful 4th down Conversion?
Best Bet: Yes (+118)
For the value, this is my favorite of all the Prop bets in the biggest game of the season.
If you have watched both these teams all season, you know they both have absolutely no issue going for it on 4th down.
The Eagles went for it the 4th most in the NFL with 32 attempts and converted on 22 of them, good for 2nd best.
That’s a 68.8% conversion rate, good for 4th best in the league.
On the other side, the Chiefs didn’t go for it as often, but when they did, they were excellent.
The Chiefs converted 9 of their 12 4th down attempts, good for 75% and 2nd best in the league.
The final point here, which solidifies this as my Favorite Prop of Super Bowl 57, is the odds for each individual team to convert a 4th down.
- Chiefs to have a successful 4th down conversion (-152)
- Eagles to have a successful 4th down conversion (-280)
Well, well, well…
As you can see, the odds are heavily favoring both teams to convert a 4th down.
Yet the odds for BOTH of them to convert is plus money…
You just absolutely love to see it.
