The 2023 NFL regular season has reached its finale with the Week 18 action on the horizon this weekend. The final slate of games begins on Saturday, Jan. 6 when the Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7) go one-on-one with the AFC-leading Baltimore Ravens (13-3) at 4:30 p.m. ET.
The Steelers hope to keep their playoff hopes alive with a win this weekend after back-to-back victories over the Cincinnati Bengals and Seattle Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Ravens extended their winning streak to six games with last week’s 56-19 blowout win over the Miami Dolphins.
These AFC North rivals are at opposite ends of the spectrum regarding Super Bowl LVIII odds. While the Ravens own the second-best odds (+325) on Bovada to hoist the Lombardi Trophy in February, the Steelers are +25000 longshots to do so (T-3rd-worst).
In the meantime, let’s dive into my Steelers vs Ravens prediction and best bets to see how this Week 18 matchup could unfold.

Steelers vs Ravens Prediction & Best Bet: NFL Week 18
This game means something different for each of the teams involved.
For the Ravens, it’s a relatively meaningless affair. They already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC and home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with last week’s victory, meaning it wouldn’t be surprising if Baltimore opts to rest its key players in favor of a healthier postseason roster.
As for the Steelers, they must win if they want to make the playoffs. As it stands, Pittsburgh has a 43% shot of qualifying for the postseason and while there are several paths toward the playoffs, the easiest one is for Mike Tomlin’s team to win combined with either the Buffalo Bills or Jacksonville Jaguars losing.
The good news for the Steelers is that even though the Ravens are one of the NFL’s best teams, they have their rival’s number. Pittsburgh has won six of the last seven clashes in this rivalry, which includes a 17-10 victory over Baltimore back in Week 5.
Another advantage for Pittsburgh is that Baltimore will likely rest starting quarterback and 2023 NFL MVP favorite Lamar Jackson for backup QB Tyler Huntley. The 25-year-old gunslinger has started in eight of his 19 career appearances, completing 65.6% of passes for 1,811 passing yards, seven touchdowns, and seven interceptions with a 78.9 passer rating.
In fact, Huntley owns a 1-2 record with a 60.6 passer rating in three career games against the Steelers, throwing one TD to three INTs along the way.
Pittsburgh has also done well at covering the spread this season, doing so in 56.3% of games (T-10th) while going 6-1 ATS against the AFC North. On the flip side, Baltimore is 5-2 ATS against the division and has covered the spread in five of its last six outings overall.
But even though the Steelers are the favorites, I can’t go against the Ravens. Baltimore is one of the deepest teams in the league, meaning I still expect a competitive roster even if most starters are sitting. The Steelers might have momentum on their side, but I can’t ignore the fact that they’ve been outscored by an average of four points in their last six road games.
With that in mind, I still see the Under on the 36.5-point total as the best bet. After all, the total has hit the Under in each of the last six Steelers-Ravens clashes, averaging 31.2 points along the way. On top of that, these rivals have finished with 30 or fewer points in each of their last four meetings.
With the Ravens also likely being without some of their offensive players and the Steelers owning the sixth-worst offense this season, don’t expect a ton of points.

Best Steelers vs Ravens Prop — NFL Week 18
When it comes to my favorite Steelers vs. Raven prop bet at the moment, I have my eye on Baltimore finishing with over 1.5 field goals.
Ravens kicker Justin Tucker hasn’t been flawless this season, but he’s turned things around as of late. The veteran special teamer is averaging 2.8 FGs made on a 93.3% success rate in his last five games, finishing with the Over on this prop in each contest.
Even if the Ravens are missing key offensive players, the Steelers allow the 11th-most total yards, meaning getting into field-goal range won’t be an issue. Additionally, Pittsburgh also allows the eighth-most FGs made on the 15th-highest conversion rate.
