Seahawks vs Patriots Predictions
The Stank:
After the Patriots pulled off an unexpected win over the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1 as eight-point underdogs, they’re riding high after a surprising performance. New England defeated a Bengals team that struggled offensively, with Joe Burrow passing for just 164 yards and the offense totaling only 224 yards. While I’m still skeptical about the Patriots’ long-term prospects, their Week 1 victory was impressive given the low expectations.

Now, the Patriots face a Seattle team that looked strong against the Broncos, amassing 304 total yards with a balanced attack. Geno Smith completed 72% of his passes for 171 yards, and Kenneth Walker rushed for 103 yards, averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Seattle’s defense also made an impact, intercepting Denver rookie Bo Nix twice, though it’s worth noting that Nix’s inexperience contributed to those mistakes. Additionally, they held all three of Denver’s running backs to under 30 yards.
In this matchup, I believe New England’s Week 1 success was a bit of an overachievement. With the Seahawks coming off a solid performance and the line fluctuating between three and four, I suggest either waiting for the best number or taking Seattle at (-3). I expect Seattle to come out on top in Foxborough.
Prediction: Seahawks win
