See Picks & Statistics For The GameThere have been a number of surprises over the first eight weeks of the NFL season, both good and bad. Among the top positive surprises is the success of the Seattle Seahawks, who sit atop the NFC West heading into their Week 9 matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.
The Seahawks trek to the desert looking to extend a three-game win streak that started with a 19-9 home win over the Cardinals in Week 6.
Last week, they cooled off the hot Giants with a 27-13 win at Lumen Field, with New York scoring a season low and allowing a season high in seeing its four-game win streak end.
The Cardinals, meanwhile, are looking for their second straight home win following a Thursday Night Football win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 7.
In Week 8, they were on the road against the Minnesota Vikings and came up short in a 34-26 loss, despite another big day for the Kyler Murray-DeAndre Hopkins connection.

Can Seattle Keep This Up?
Statistically, nothing really stands out about the Seahawks offensively or defensively, other than the fact that they rank 3rd in the NFL in yards per carry (5.3).
But they are proving pretty adept at doing the things that they need to do to win each week.
In the first meeting against Arizona in Week 6, Seattle was efficient enough on offense, scoring on five drives. An on defense, they allowed Kyler Murray to run for 100 yards, but they forced two turnovers, stopped Arizona on downs three times, and didn’t allow an offensive touchdown.
How long can they keep it going? With the talent that the 49ers and Rams have, you’d have to expect both of those teams to surge in the coming weeks.
Also, with Hopkins hitting the ground running upon his return against the Saints, the Cardinals are a much more dangerous team offensively.
But after this game, the Seahawks have only two more true road games left, against the Rams in Week 13 and against the Chiefs in Week 16. So, even if they don’t win this week, there’s a good chance they will be in the playoff picture the entire way.
Seattle Seahawks vs. Arizona Cardinals Prediction and Best Bets
Seahawks vs. Cardinals Prediction: Cardinals to win
Seahawks vs. Cardinals Best Bets: Cardinals ML (Best Value: -125 at Bovada Sportsbook & BetMGM) & Seahawks/Cardinals over (Best Value: over 48.5 @ -114 at BetOnline)
After an encouraging performance against the Saints in Week 7, last week’s 34-26 loss to the Vikings was a bit of a step back for the Cardinals.
They turned the ball over three times, twice on interceptions by Murray, and allowed Dalvin Cook to register his first 100-yard game of the season.
But Murray did complete over 70 percent of his passes (31 of 44) for a season-high 326 yards, averaging seven yards per attempt for the second week in a row. And though he was sacked four times, he also did pick up some yards on the ground, recording 36 yards on six carries.
Along with Hopkins being back in action recently, the Cardinals could get RB James Conner back tomorrow, which would be a big boost.
Conner (ribs) has missed the last three games but is listed as questionable for this game. That is a positive development, considering that Eno Benjamin has done little outside of his outlier of a 92-yard performance against the Saints.
The first matchup between these two teams featured only one offensive touchdown, but I expect more scoring in the rematch. Seattle’s last three road games have featured 93, 71, and 60 points, and Arizona’s last two games have featured 76 and 60.
I think last week was a missed opportunity for the Cardinals, who could have left Minnesota with a win had they played a cleaner game. But I do feel encouraged overall by a lot of what they have shown in their two games since their loss in Seattle, and I’m backing them to halt the Seahawks’ win streak.
Seahawks vs. Cardinals Prop Picks
- DeAndre Hopkins over 82.5 receiving yards (-110 at BetMGM): Against the Saints, Hopkins had 10 catches (on 14 targets) for 103 yards, and he followed that with 12 catches (on 13 targets) for 159 yards and a touchdown against the Vikings. Look for him to keep it going against Seattle. If you want to jump on some great value, BetOnline has him at +174 to have another 100-yard game. I like it. I like it a lot.
- Kyler Murray over 34.5 rushing yards (-110 at BetOnline): Murray hit this number on one run against Seattle in Week 6, with a 42-yard scamper accounting for a big chunk of his 100-yard day. He has gone over this number four times in six career games against Seattle, and I’m expecting him to make that five in seven here.
