See Picks & Statistics For The GameBetting News’ NFL Week 4 coverage continues with another Sunday afternoon matchup that pits the LA Rams one-on-one with the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Rams’ road trip continues after falling 19-16 to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 4. Meanwhile, the Colts shocked a lot of people last week as kicker Matt Gay kicked four field goals over 50 yards en route to a 22-19 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens.
Can LA avoid a third consecutive loss? Or will the Colts solidify their spot atop the AFC South with another victory?
This article has everything you need before Sunday’s Rams vs. Colts showdown, including the latest NFL odds, a prediction, and the best bets.

Rams vs Colts Week 4 Preview
The Colts will receive a huge boost this weekend with rookie QB Anthony Richardson likely suiting up to face the Rams. The 21-year-old has been sidelined with a concussion suffered in Week 2, but his full participation in practice this week is a great sign for his Week 5 status.
It won’t be an easy test, though. The Rams are allowing the seventh-fewest passing yards and have surrendered just one passing touchdown so far. At the same time, they’ve allowed a rushing TD to quarterbacks, opening the door for Richardson to use his feet.
Speaking of quarterbacks, LA gunslinger Matthew Stafford could find a lot of success this Sunday. Indianapolis’ secondary just isn’t good, allowing a 69.1% completion percentage (7th-highest) and 250.7 passing yards per game (10th-most).
In other words, the Colts’ front seven must pressure Stafford all day long. Indianapolis currently sits 10th when it comes to QB hurries (13) while being tied for the third-most sacks (12) through three games, so the potential is there.
If the Rams want to win this week, they need a stronger start than the one they had against the Bengals. Los Angeles was held to three field goals in the first three quarters of last week’s matchup.
It also didn’t help that six of the Rams’ nine drives during that span ended in punts or interceptions.
The good news for the visitors is that the Colts aren’t the greatest team at stopping drives. They’re average when it comes to third-down defense (38.3%, No. 17) and allow opponents to score touchdowns on 66.7% of red-zone trips (T-No. 23).
For reference, the Rams sit at No. 2 and T-No. 20 when it comes to third-down and red-zone defense, respectively.
Rams vs Colts Prediction — Week 4
In a matchup that could go either way, I’m taking the Colts to win. The Rams are solid, but there are concerns following back-to-back losses while the Colts have momentum stemming from a win over a strong Ravens squad.
With Richardson looking like he belongs in the NFL, I expect Indianapolis to squeeze out the win at home.
Prediction: Colts 21, Rams 17 — Colts PK (-110 on SportsBetting)
Rams vs Colts Player Prop — Week 4
For those craving a Rams vs. Colts player prop, let’s go with Puka Nacua scoring an anytime touchdown.
Although he’s yet to find paydirt in the NFL, Nacua has looked tremendous thus far, turning 30 catches in 338 receiving yards. With Stafford targeting him 14 times per game, the 22-year-old WR will have plenty of chances to score against a Colts defense that has given up four TDs to the position already.
Best Player Prop: Puka Nacua Anytime Touchdown (+140 on SportsBetting)
