See Picks & Statistics For The GameTime has been flying by as we’re already approaching Week 4 of the 2022 NFL season. Another slate of exciting matchups is right around the corner, including a showdown between NFC West rivals as the Los Angeles Rams pay a visit to the San Francisco 49ers for Monday Night Football.
After a season-opening loss, the Rams have now won back-to-back games. Los Angeles’ last victory — a 20-12 win over the Arizona Cardinals — was a defensively dominant performance that saw Sean McVay’s squad hold its opponents to just four field goals made.
With Jimmy Garoppolo under center, the 49ers couldn’t get the job done against the Broncos, losing 11-10. It was an uneventful game that saw San Francisco score a touchdown in the first quarter, only to be held off the scoresheet until the final frame.
Betting News has gathered the latest Rams vs 49ers odds from BetOnline Sportsbook to help shed some light on the situation, along with a prediction and best bets for the NFL Week 4 game.

Los Angeles Rams vs San Francisco 49ers Prediction and Picks
Rams vs 49ers Prediction: Rams 23, 49ers 17
Rams vs 49ers Picks: Rams ML (Best Value: +110 at BetOnline) & Under 42.5 Points (Best Value: -112 at BetOnline)
Though the Rams beat the 49ers en route to Super Bowl LVI, Los Angeles hasn’t beaten its NFC West rival in the regular season since 2018. In fact, San Francisco has won six straight regular-season contests, meaning there’s a lot for the road team to prove.
The good news for the Rams is that there are things working in their favor. For starters, starting left tackle Trent Williams is out of the lineup with a high ankle sprain.
The 49ers pride themselves on their offensive line, but the unit won’t be nearly as strong without Williams. Considering how they allowed four sacks to the Broncos last week and the Rams already have seven on the season, it could be a busy day in the trenches.
There’s also the fact that Garoppolo didn’t look great filling in for the injured Trey Lance. While the veteran gunslinger went 18-of-29 for 211 passing yards and a TD, he did throw an interception and also lost a fumble.
Of course, it won’t be easy for the Rams to produce offense against the 49ers. San Francisco’s defense allows only 12.3 points (No. 3) and 227.0 total offensive yards (No. 2) per game.
If the Rams are going to win, Matthew Stafford has to step up. The veteran QB hasn’t looked great this season, having more INTs (5) than he does TDs (4). He could be helped if his backfield finally wakes up after only averaging 72.3 rushing yards (No. 30) through three games.
Fortunately, Stafford will have Cooper Kupp to continue to lean on. Last season’s Offensive Player of the Year already leads the NFL with 28 receptions, turning them into 280 yards and three TDs. That’s not to mention his 20-yard rushing score from last week.
At the end of the day, the Rams have had their struggles with the 49ers, but I do trust Stafford and co. to get the win here. Garoppolo just didn’t look like himself last week and a battered offensive line will make it tougher for him to get his footing down.
I’m not expecting a high-scoring game either, hence why I’m taking the under on the total. Besides, seven of the last Rams-49ers games played at Levi’s Stadium have ended with the under being hit.
Both defenses will keep the game from getting out of hand, but the Rams’ slight edge on offense will be the reason why they head into Week 5 on a three-game winning streak.
