See Picks & Statistics For The GameIt’s Week 14 in the NFL and we’ve got a great slate in front of us. The Raiders head down south to Tampa Bay where they’ll face-off with Baker Mayfield and the Buccaneers. Tampa looks poised for another year in the post-season but they’ve still got their work cut out for them.
The Raiders are a team already looking at next year and looking to build through the draft. Two teams, both on opposite sides of the spectrum this season, both with a game to play on Sunday; let’s get into my favorite bets in this one.
Here are our best bets for the Raiders vs. Buccaneers
- Brock Bowers o70.5 Receiving Yards (-108)
- Mike Evans o74.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

Raiders vs. Buccaneers Analysis & Breakdown
‘Mid-est’ Division in Football
The only way to describe the NFC South, in my opinion, is mid. The Buccaneers, Falcons and Saints have all had their moments this season, on both sides of the win/loss spectrum.
The Saints started the season 2-0 with one of the hottest offenses in the NFL, six weeks later they fired their head coach. The Falcons beat the Eagles on the road this year, swept both games with the Buccaneers, but they’ve now lost 3 straight games, including a loss to the Saints.
The Buccaneers are the only team in the NFL that have managed to best the Lions this year, they’ve also recorded wins against the Eagles, Commanders and a 24-point win over the Saints.
Tampa’s schedule has been tough, 5 of their 6 losses have come to teams 0.500 or above; including the Chiefs, Ravens, Falcons (x2), and Broncos. Now the Buccs go into the easier part of their schedule, 4 of their L5 opponents are teams under 0.500, with both the Panthers and Saints still left on the schedule.
Raiders Rebuild
The Raiders have not been good this year and it wasn’t a surprise but I guess there was a little hope after the way they finished last season. This year the Raiders are 2-9, they’ve had two different starting QBs and they traded away their best WR, Davante Adams.
Head Coach Antonio Pierce had this defense looking good last season, but this year they rank 28th in points allowed, last in turnovers, and 25th in sacks. Vegas started the year with Aidan O’Connell under center but after he was injured in Week 4 against the Rams.
O’Connell’s back and he’s looking for his first win of the season. He’s thrown 4 touchdown passes in just 3 games (excluding 2 games he left with injury), just two interceptions and he’s thrown for over 225 yards in 2 of those 3 games.
This Raiders team looks vastly different with O’Connell under center and should lead to a boost in the Raiders’ air attack.
Brock Bowers o70.5 Receiving Yards (-108)
It’s not up for debate, Brock Bowers has been the best TE in the NFL this year. Bowers sits 1st in the NFL in receptions, 4th in targets, 4th in total receiving yards and 6th in yards after the catch. To say he’s been dominant, would be a gross misrepresentation of what he’s doing.
Brock sits atop these leader boards among ALL RECEIVERS, not just TEs. He’s dominated the field of play in his rookie season and this week he gets a great matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Tampa ranks 30th in total pass yards allowed, 30th in yards allowed to opposing TEs and with Brock’s target share, I don’t see them fixing these holes before Sunday. Bowers is seeing a 27% target share for the Raiders and that’s jumped to 29.7% after the departure of Davante Adams.
Brock’s seen 10+ targets in 6 of his L8 games, including 4 of their L5 road games. In the 5 games with O’Connell under center, Bowers saw 10+ targets in all games after Week 1, clearing this line in 4 of the 5 games and 90+ in 3 of 5.

Mike Evans o74.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
Strictly a narrative play and we know how Baker and Mike Evans get down. It’s simple, Mike has 9-straight seasons of 1000 or more receiving yards. To do it for 10-straight seasons he needs 479 receiving yards over the Buccs last 5 games.
Like I said, 4 of the Buccanneers L5 games are against opponents with losing records and defenses that are vulnerable through the air; this week it’s the Raiders.
Vegas ranks 16th in pass yards allowed but a lot of that has to do with them constantly being behind in their games. Last week Evans finished with 8 catches on 12 targets for 118 yards. He’s missed time with injury this year so Mike’s got no time to waste, it’s balls to the wall every week now.
