Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season is nearly finished as only the Monday Night Football matchup remains. Nevertheless, that hasn’t stopped bettors from focusing on the new slate of betting opportunities that the NFL Week 7 schedule is about to bring.
Even though there are still a few days until the fun begins, it isn’t too early to preview all 13 upcoming matchups. So, get ready as we dive into the early NFL Week 7 odds, as well as my best bets for each game.
Week 6 Outright Record: 8-6-0
Week 6 Best Bet Record: 5-8-1
All NFL Week 7 odds are courtesy of BetOnline at 9:54 a.m. ET on Monday, Oct. 16.
Bye Week Teams: Bengals, Cowboys, Titans, Jets, Panthers, Texans
NFL Week 7 Thursday Night Football Odds
Jaguars vs Saints Odds
- Record: Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2) vs. New Orleans Saints (3-3)
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Location: Caesars Superdome — New Orleans, LA
- Spread: Jaguars +1.5 (-107) | Saints -1.5 (-113)
- Total: OVER 41 (-111) | UNDER 41 (-109)
- Moneyline: Jaguars +100 | Saints -120
The Jaguars head into Week 7 riding a three-game winning streak after securing a 37-20 victory over the rival Indianapolis Colts. The Saints, meanwhile, seek to avoid a fourth loss in five games after falling 20-13 to the Houston Texans on the road.
I can see the spread shifting more in the road team’s favor as the week goes on, which is why I’m siding with the Jaguars. Jacksonville boasts a plus-12.7 average scoring margin during its winning streak, whereas New Orleans lost by 17 points in its last home game.
The Jaguars are playing great football and their success in London proved they can win away from Jacksonville. Take Doug Pederson’s team as the underdog while you still can.
Jaguars vs Saints Prediction: JAX 24, NO 17
Jaguars vs Saints Best Bet: JAX ML (+100)
NFL Week 7 Early Sunday Odds
Raiders vs Bears Odds
- Record: Las Vegas Raiders (3-3) vs. Chicago Bears (1-5)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Soldier Field (Chicago, IL)
- Spread: Raiders -3 (-113) | Bears +3 (-107)
- Total: OVER 38.5 (-110) | UNDER 38.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Raiders TBD | Bears TBD
After a slow start to the season, the Raiders enter the NFL Week 7 slate after their second win in as many weeks, beating the New England Patriots 21-17 at Allegiant Stadium. The Bears couldn’t get the job done in Week 5 against the Minnesota Vikings, falling 19-13.
While home is supposed to give teams a boost, that isn’t the case for Chicago. The Bears are 0-3 with a minus-9.0 average scoring margin at home. Throw in the fact that QB Justin Fields dislocated his right thumb in Week 6 and I don’t like the home team’s odds even more.
The Raiders are the better team and shouldn’t have an issue creating separation due to the Bears’ lack of talent on both sides of the ball.
Raiders vs Bears Prediction: LV 21, CHI 17
Raiders vs Bears Best Bet: LV -3 (-113)
Browns vs Colts Odds
- Record: Cleveland Browns (3-2) vs. Indianapolis Colts (3-3)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis, IN)
- Spread: Browns -2 (-115) | Colts +2 (-105)
- Total: OVER 39 (-110) | UNDER 39 (-110)
- Moneyline: Browns TBD | Colts TBD
The Browns shocked a ton of football enthusiasts over the weekend, upsetting the San Francisco 49ers with a 19-17 victory at home. Meanwhile, the Colts will try to return to the win column after suffering a 37-20 blowout loss to the Jaguars.
After how the Browns handled the 49ers, it’s hard to doubt the road team. The Colts just aren’t the same without rookie QB Anthony Richardson. While Gardner Minshew is a decent backup, I can’t see him having a ton of success with the way that Cleveland’s defense has been playing.
With the Colts being without Richardson and the Browns potentially missing Deshaun Watson again, I’d expect a low-scoring affair at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Browns vs Colts Prediction: CLE 20, IND 17
Browns vs Colts Best Bet: Under 39 Points (-110)
Bills vs Patriots Odds
- Record: Buffalo Bills (4-2) vs. New England Patriots (1-5)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Gillette Stadium (Foxboro, MA)
- Spread: Bills -9.5 (-110) | Patriots +9.5 (-110)
- Total: OVER 42 (-110) | UNDER 42 (-110)
- Moneyline: Bills TBD | Patriots TBD
Although they were given a scare in Week 6, the Bills still managed to hold on for a 14-9 win over the New York Giants. Meanwhile, the Patriots will do their best to avoid a fourth straight loss after losing 21-17 to the Raiders on the road.
While the Bills failed to pull through as major favorites last week, I don’t see that happening again on Sunday. The Patriots have lost their last three games by an average of 24.3 points and nothing about their offense or defense says that they can hang with Buffalo.
With the Patriots being 0-6 ATS in their last six home games and the Bills going 4-1 ATS in their five previous trips to Foxboro, take Buffalo to cover against its AFC East rival.
Bills vs Patriots Prediction: BUF 28, NE 16
Bills vs Patriots Best Bet: BUF -9.5 (-110)
Commanders vs Giants Odds
- Record: Washington Commanders (3-3) vs. New York Giants (1-5)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ)
- Spread: Commanders -2 (-110) | Giants +2 (-110)
- Total: OVER 40 (-110) | UNDER 40 (-110)
- Moneyline: Commanders TBD | Giants TBD
The Commanders have a pep in their step after QB Sam Howell threw three passing touchdowns in a 24-16 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Meanwhile, the Giants picked up their fourth straight loss in the form of a 14-9 defeat to the Bills in Week 6.
While neither team has been perfect, I’m taking the Commanders to win considering that they actually have a victory in the last month. The Giants are one of the worst teams in the league, averaging 10.0 PPG during their skid while being held to single digits in two of the last three weeks.
Although this NFL Week 7 game should be more competitive than the Giants’ recent outings, the result will be the same.
Commanders vs Giants Prediction: WSH 21, NYG 13
Commanders vs Giants Best Bet: WSH -2 (-110)
Falcons vs Buccaneers Odds
- Record: Atlanta Falcons (3-3) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, FL)
- Spread: Falcons +2.5 (+100) | Buccaneers -2.5 (-120)
- Total: OVER 39 (-115) | UNDER 39 (-105)
- Moneyline: Falcons +125 | Buccaneers -145
This showdown is one between two teams that could use the taste of victory. The Falcons just fell 24-16 to the Commanders at home while the Buccaneers didn’t have much to show in their 20-6 loss to the Detroit Lions.
In a game that could go either way, I’m taking the Bucs. Neither team is perfect, but Atlanta is still winless on the road while Tampa Bay at least has one home victory. It’s not much, but it makes the difference in a closely projected matchup.
Nevertheless, I’m taking a neutral approach by backing the Under on the 39-point total. On top of both sides boasting a bottom-10 offense, the Under is a combined 9-2 in the Falcons and Buccaneers’ outings this season.
Falcons vs Buccaneers Prediction: TB 20, ATL 17
Falcons vs Buccaneers Best Bet: Under 39 Points (-105)
Lions vs Ravens Odds
- Record: Detroit Lions (5-1) vs. Baltimore Ravens (4-2)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: M&T Bank Stadium (Baltimore, MD)
- Spread: Lions +2.5 (-110) | Ravens -2.5 (-110)
- Total: OVER 43.5 (-110) | UNDER 43.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Lions +125 | Ravens -145
The Lions are one of the NFL’s hottest teams, having extended their winning streak to four games with a 20-6 win over the Buccaneers. The Ravens also added to their win column last week, improving to 4-2 as Justin Tucker kicked six field goals in a 24-16 victory against the Tennessee Titans.
This matchup will be a close one, but I see the Lions winning. Both defenses are great, but Detroit’s world-class offense can’t be matched. While Baltimore does have some solid talent on offense, too, the team’s aerial struggles will be made evident if this game delves into a shootout.
With the Lions also being 3-0 ATS on the road this season, taking Detroit to cover is the best bet — especially with the Ravens being 1-6 ATS in their last seven home games that were played on a Sunday.
Lions vs Ravens Prediction: DET 24, BAL 20
Lions vs Ravens Best Bet: DET +2.5 (-110)

NFL Week 7 Odds — Late Sunday Games
Steelers vs Rams Odds
- Record: Pittsburgh Steelers (3-2) vs. LA Rams (3-3)
- Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
- Location: SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, CA)
- Spread: Steelers +3.5 (-119) | Rams -3.5 (-101)
- Total: OVER 42.5 (-110) | UNDER 42.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Steelers +160 | Rams -180
The Steelers return to action on the NFL Week 7 slate following last week’s bye. Meanwhile, the Rams just notched a 26-9 blowout win over the Arizona Cardinals as Cooper Kupp racked up 148 receiving yards and a touchdown on seven catches.
The Steelers may have three wins in their last four games, but I’m still backing the Rams. Los Angeles looks more like itself now that Kupp is back and the entire team played extremely well at home in Week 6.
Considering how the Steelers lost by 24 in their last away game, more consistent play is needed on the road. I expect the Rams’ offense to find a ton of success against a Pittsburgh defense that surrenders the third-most total yards in the NFL.
Steelers vs Rams Prediction: LAR 27, PIT 20
Steelers vs Rams Best Bet: LAR -3.5 (-101)
Cardinals vs Seahawks Odds
- Record: Arizona Cardinals (1-5) vs. Seattle Seahawks (3-2)
- Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
- Location: Lumen Field (Seattle, WA)
- Spread: Cardinals +8 (-110) | Seahawks -8 (-110)
- Total: OVER 46 (-110) | UNDER 46 (-110)
- Moneyline: Cardinals +310 | Seahawks -380
After a promising start to the 2023 NFL season, the Cardinals dropped to 0-3 in their last three games with a 26-9 loss to the Rams. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are out for revenge in Week 7 after their three-game winning streak was snapped by a 17-13 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
This is one game where I wouldn’t overthink things. Each of the Cardinals’ last three losses came by no fewer than 14 points, which is encouraging when it comes to the Seahawks’ chances of covering the spread. After all, Seattle has a plus-8.3 averaging scoring margin in its last four outings.
Until the Cardinals show some real improvement, it’s better to fade them.
Cardinals vs Seahawks Prediction: SEA 28, ARI 17
Cardinals vs Seahawks Best Bet: SEA -8 (-110)
Packers vs Broncos Odds
- Record: Green Bay Packers (2-3) vs. Denver Broncos (1-5)
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Empower Field at Mile High (Denver, CO)
- Spread: Packers -1 (-115) | Broncos +1 (-105)
- Total: OVER 45 (-111) | UNDER 45 (-109)
- Moneyline: Packers -120 | Broncos +100
The Packers hope to turn things around this weekend after falling 17-13 to the Raiders in Week 5. Meanwhile, the Broncos will try to avoid a third straight loss in NFL Week 7 after getting embarrassed, 19-8, by the Kansas City Chiefs to drop to 1-5.
Again, don’t put too much thought into this matchup. While neither team is anything special, the Broncos are getting blown out left and right while their only victory this year came against the lowly Bears.
Given how Green Bay and Denver are averaging 17.0 and 20.0 points in their last three outings, respectively, I have a tough time imagining these teams combining for more than 45 points on Sunday afternoon.
Packers vs Broncos Prediction: GB 23, DEN 20
Packers vs Broncos Best Bet: Under 45 Points (-109)
Chargers vs Chiefs Odds
- Record: Los Angeles Chargers (2-2) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (5-1)
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium (Kansas City, MO)
- Spread: Chargers TBD (TBD) | Chiefs TBD (TBD)
- Total: OVER TBD (TBD) | UNDER TBD (TBD)
- Moneyline: Chargers TBD | Chiefs TBD
Odds for this NFL Week 7 matchup aren’t available as the Chargers have yet to play their MNF showdown against the Dallas Cowboys. Nevertheless, we do know that the Chiefs are coming off a huge 19-8 win over the Broncos.
Even though we don’t know the Chargers’ Week 6 result at the time of writing, it’s hard to bet against the Chiefs. Kansas City is on a heater, having won five straight games while holding opponents to a 13.4 PPG clip over that span.
Los Angeles’s offense is talented, but Kansas City has enough playmakers to get the job done. Expect the Chiefs to beat the Chargers for the fourth straight time.
Chargers vs Chiefs Prediction: KC 30, LAC 24
Chargers vs Chiefs Best Bet: TBD
NFL Week 7 Sunday Night Football Odds
Dolphins vs Eagles Odds
- Record: Miami Dolphins (5-1) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (5-1)
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
- Location: Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, PA)
- Spread: Dolphins +2.5 (-110) | Eagles -2.5 (-110)
- Total: OVER 52 (-115) | UNDER 52 (-105)
- Moneyline: Dolphins +115 | Eagles -135
Despite being down 14-0 to the Carolina Panthers after the first quarter, the Dolphins found a way to battle back to a 42-21 victory last week. On the other hand, the Eagles suffered their first defeat of the 2023 campaign in the form of a 20-14 loss to the New York Jets.
Are the Eagles one of the league’s best teams? Yes, but they haven’t had a dominant performance outside of their Week 3 win. The Dolphins, meanwhile, are averaging 40.8 PPG in their last four outings while outscoring those opponents by an average of 14.5 points.
At the end of the day, don’t be shocked if the Eagles are left disappointed this week.
Dolphins vs Eagles Prediction: MIA 31, PHI 28
Dolphins vs Eagles Best Bet: MIA +2.5 (-110)
NFL Week 7 Monday Night Football Odds
49ers vs Vikings Odds
- Record: San Francisco 49ers (5-1) vs. Minnesota Vikings (2-4)
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Location: U.S. Bank Stadium (Minneapolis, MN)
- Spread: 49ers -7 (-105) | Vikings +7 (-115)
- Total: OVER 44 (-110) | UNDER 44 (-110)
- Moneyline: 49ers -315 | Vikings +265
Not only did the 49ers lose 19-17 to the Browns in Week 6, but they also lost Deebo Samuel and Christian McCaffrey to injury. Meanwhile, the Vikings improved to 2-1 in their last three games with a 19-13 win over the Bears on the road.
For starters, let me just say that the 49ers shouldn’t have an issue winning this game. Even with their injury situation, they’re still the better team across the board — especially with the Vikings missing star WR Justin Jefferson.
At the same time, we still need to see how San Francisco’s offense operates without Samuel and CMC. If the 49ers couldn’t beat the Deshaun Watson-less Browns, how can I have faith in them winning this game by eight or more points?
49ers vs Vikings Prediction: SF 24, MIN 18
49ers vs Vikings Best Bet: MIN +7 (-115)
