Daniel Collins’ Week 5 NFL Pick
Best Bet: Brian Thomas Jr. o56.5 Receiving Yards (-115) MyBookie
Let’s start this week off with one of the most dynamic rookie wideouts most people aren’t talking about, Brian Thomas Jr.
Malik Nabers and Marvin Harrison Jr. may have been getting all the headlines but the LSU product has been electric to start his professional career in Jacksonville.
Brian Thomas Jr. has 17 catches for 275 yards through the first 4 weeks of the season, which is only 2nd behind Nabers in this rookie class.
Thomas looks the part early on and will only continue to get better as time passes in the NFL and as the Jaguars being to click on offense.
But the main reasons I love this prop are about the opportunity & the matchup.
Thomas had 9+ targets in the last 2 games, which for a rookie wide out, that huge. It is clear Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence trusts Thomas enough to target him 18 times in 2 weeks, so I am going to continue to ride the man who should be able to take advantage of a perfect defensive matchup against Indy.
The Colts are 26th in the NFL in receiving yards allowed overall and just aren’t great in pass defense in general. I expect Thomas to come out hot once again and have a big game in a MUST WIN situation for the Jags at home to look for their first win of the season.
Nate Hornung’s NFL Week 5 Pick
Best Bet: Aaron Jones Over 25.5 Receiving Yards (-115) BetOnline
Aaron Jones has been the 2nd best pass catcher for the Vikings this season. Sam Darnold has developed a great system with Jones, and he has been involved plenty from the backfield. He’s seen 5+ targets in each of his last 3 games, clearing this line by 10 yards in all of those contests. His snap count has increased every single week, and he is seeing 76% of the total RB targets in the passing game.
Jones is 2nd on the Vikings in receptions, targets, and receiving yards through 4 weeks of play, only behind Justin Jefferson. He’s proven to be an every down back and a reliable source from a receiving stand point. I think this week he’s able to sneak away for a few catches, clearing this line with ease over in London.

Colby Marchio’s NFL Week 5 Pick
Best Bet: Buffalo Bills Moneyline (-117) BetOnline
The loss to Baltimore on Sunday Night looked rough on the box score, but the film tells a different story. The offense struggled to find its rhythm, and some questionable calls really killed their momentum. A particularly ill-timed trick play in the third quarter, starting from their own 18, stalled a promising drive and highlighted the issues with play-calling. It was the kind of disjointed performance they were bound to have after a strong 3-0 start.
Meanwhile, Houston has become one of the trendiest teams in the NFL, yet their play hasn’t matched expectations despite a 3-1 record. Sitting at 0-4 against the spread, they’ve underperformed when it matters. Their lone loss was a brutal 34-7 defeat to the Vikings, and their three wins have come against teams with a combined 4-6 record (Colts, Bears, Jaguars). They clearly have the potential, but so far, they haven’t delivered a dominant win this season. If they want to prove themselves, it’s time to step up and make a statement.

Best Bet: Josh Jacobs o63.5 Rushing Yards (-114) BetOnline
Jordan Love made his return last week and the Packers immediately starting slinging the ball once again. When you have a talent like Love under center, it makes sense to put the ball in his hands.
So why are we betting on Josh Jacobs? It’s because this Rams defense has been terrible, just all over the field. Los Angeles ranks last in rush yards allowed per game and 27th in opponents yards per carry average (5 YPC).
The Rams are giving up roughly 131 rush yards per game to running backs and they’ve surrendered 5 rushing touchdowns on the year to the position.
Jacobs has been phenomenal in his time with the Packers, he averaging 4.6 YPC and 82.3 yards per game. He’s yet to get into the endzone this year, but against this Rams team that ranks bottom 3 in points allowed, I think this could be the week we see Jacobs show out.
Jacobs has cleared this line just twice this year, but in a game the Packers should be playing with a lead, I love this spot.
Brad Blakemore’s NFL Week 5 Pick
Best Bet: Kenneth Walker o70.5 Rushing Yards (-120) BetOnline
The odds aren’t sexy, but the play is. Kenneth Walker has been an animal this season with 183 rushing yards across two games played. And if you wanna make this bet a little bit more tasty you could combine it with his tuddy for +112. The Seahawks have one of the most dangerous running backs in the league and know how to use him.
He has been an absolute workhorse when he has played with four touchdowns, 183 rushing and 36 receiving yards through two games. He gets the New York Giants this week who will be without their rookie sensation and top weapon Malik Nabers. This means the Seahawks could blow out the Giants, who have been struggling to stay in games even when Nabers is catching every ball within a 15 foot radius.
The Giants defense has been prone to be lit up by running backs and this game script is in our favor for Walker to hammer them at home.
