The standings have begun taking shape as we arrive at Week 4 of the 2023 NFL season. It’s never too early to start placing those early wagers and, fortunately, the NFL Week 4 schedule is chock-full of betting opportunities you won’t want to miss.
As usual, this series is the one-stop shop for your weekly NFL betting needs. With that being said, let’s dive into the early odds for each Week 4 matchup, as well as which bets I like so far.
All NFL Week 4 odds are courtesy of BetOnline at 9:59 a.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 25.
NFL Week 4 Thursday Night Football Odds
Lions vs Packers Odds
- Record: Detroit Lions (2-1) vs. Green Bay Packers (2-1)
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Location: Lambeau Field — Green Bay, WI
- Spread: Lions -1.5 (-112) | Packers +1.5 (-108)
- Total: OVER 45 (-110) | UNDER 45 (-110)
- Moneyline: Lions -123 | Packers +103
The Lions enter the NFL Week 4 schedule following a strong defensive effort in a 20-6 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Meanwhile, the Packers aim for a second straight win at home after coming from behind to secure an 18-17 victory against the New Orleans Saints.
In a game that could go either way, I see the Lions winning. Their defense looked really good in Week 3 while their last road game saw them defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. Besides, Detroit just beat the same Atlanta team that defeated Green Bay 25-24 in Week 2.
Lions vs Packers Prediction: DET 24, GB 20
Lions vs Packers Best Bet: DET -1.5 (-112)
NFL Week 4 Early Sunday Odds
Falcons vs Jaguars Odds
- Record: Atlanta Falcons (2-1) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-2)
- Time: 9:30 a.m. ET
- Location: Wembley Stadium (London, U.K.)
- Spread: Falcons +3 (-110) | Jaguars -3 (-110)
- Total: OVER 43.5 (-110) | UNDER 43.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Falcons +140 | Jaguars -160
Sunday’s action starts off early with a showdown in London. The Falcons are looking for answers after losing 20-6 to the Lions while the Jaguars attempt to avoid a third straight loss following a 37-17 thumping at the hands of the Houston Texans.
Even though London has been a second home to the Jags, I’m taking the Falcons to win. Jacksonville is only averaging 13.0 PPG with a minus-14.0 average scoring margin in its last two games.
The Falcons haven’t been perfect either, but the offense still looked strong enough in the first two games that I predict it’ll get back on track. Besides, the Jaguars are also 1-3 in their last four games played in England.
Falcons vs Jaguars Prediction: ATL 23, JAX 17
Falcons vs Jaguars Best Bet: ATL +3 (-110)
Dolphins vs Bills Odds
- Record: Miami Dolphins (3-0) vs. Buffalo Bills (2-1)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Highmark Stadium (Orchard Park, NY)
- Spread: Dolphins +2.5 (-103) | Bills -2.5 (-117)
- Total: OVER 54 (-110) | UNDER 54 (-110)
- Moneyline: Dolphins +125 | Bills -145
The Dolphins put on a show for the age in a 70-20 win over the Broncos, scoring the most points in an NFL game since 1966. Meanwhile, the Bills hardly broke a sweat in Week 3 as they crushed the Washington Commanders on the road, winning 37-3.
As great as the Bills are, how can I bring myself to doubt a team that just dropped 70 points? The Dolphins won’t score as many points this time around, but I’m backing them to ride that momentum for at least another week.
Having said that, with Tua Tagovailoa and Josh Allen looking in mid-season form already, I fully expect a shootout at Orchard Park.
Dolphins vs Bills Prediction: MIA 30, BUF 27
Dolphins vs Bills Best Bet: Over 54 Total Points (-110)
Broncos vs Bears Odds
- Record: Denver Broncos (0-3) vs. Chicago Bears (0-3)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Soldier Field (Chicago, IL)
- Spread: Broncos -3.5 (+100) | Bears +3.5 (-120)
- Total: OVER 46.5 (-105) | UNDER 46.5 (-115)
- Moneyline: Broncos -175 | Bears +155
The Broncos have no choice but to put their 70-20 loss to the Dolphins in the rearview mirror if they hope to turn things around in NFL Week 4. The Bears are in a similar boat, starting the year off 0-3 following a 41-10 blowout loss to the Chiefs.
After being embarrassed, I’m taking the Broncos to come back with a vengeance. It’s important to point out that their first two losses of the season came by two or fewer points, whereas the Bears boast a minus-19.7 average scoring margin through three games.
It won’t be a pretty game by any means, but the Broncos aren’t as close to being as bad as the Bears (in theory).
Broncos vs Bears Prediction: DEN 21, CHI 16
Broncos vs Bears Best Bet: DEN -3.5 (+100)
Ravens vs Browns Odds
- Record: Baltimore Ravens (2-1) vs. Cleveland Browns (2-1)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Cleveland Browns Stadium (Cleveland, OH)
- Spread: Ravens +2.5 (-115) | Browns -2.5 (-105)
- Total: OVER 41.5 (-110) | UNDER 41.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Ravens +105 | Browns -125
Ravens fans were left heartbroken over the weekend as their team fell 22-19 to the Indianapolis Colts in overtime despite being 8-point favorites ahead of the matchup. Meanwhile, the Browns rode their defense to an impressive 27-3 victory against the Tennessee Titans.
I like how the Browns’ defenders have been playing so far. They’ve held two of their first three opponents to a field goal and likely could’ve won in Week 2 if Deshaun Watson had performed better under center.
Nevertheless, expect a bit of offense this weekend. After all, the last nine Ravens vs. Browns matchups saw an average of 47.2 points scored, finishing with more than 41.5 seven times.
Ravens vs Browns Prediction: CLE 24, BAL 21
Ravens vs Browns Best Bet: Over 41.5 Total Points (-110)
Bengals vs Titans Odds
- Record: Cincinnati Bengals (0-2) vs. Tennessee Titans (1-2)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Nissan Stadium (Nashville, TN)
- Spread: Bengals TBD (TBD) | Titans TBD (TBD)
- Total: OVER TBD (TBD) | UNDER TBD (TBD)
- Moneyline: Bengals TBD | Titans TBD
NFL Week 4 odds aren’t available for this matchup just yet as the Bengals haven’t played their Week 3 matchup against the LA Rams at the time of writing. However, we do know that the Titans will be looking for a win after falling 27-3 to the Browns on the road.
My early prediction is that the Bengals will win. The Titans’ offense has looked horrible this season and the fact that they only tallied 26 rushing yards against the Browns when Derrick Henry is their starting RB is flat-out embarrassing.
Bengals vs Titans Prediction: CIN 24, TEN 16
Bengals vs Titans Best Bet: TBD
Rams vs Colts Odds
- Record: LA Rams (1-1) vs. Indianapolis Colts (2-1)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Lucas Oil Stadium (Indianapolis, IN)
- Spread: Rams TBD (TBD) | Colts TBD (TBD)
- Total: OVER TBD (TBD) | UNDER TBD (TBD)
- Moneyline: Rams TBD | Colts TBD
Odds aren’t available for this matchup just yet as the Rams haven’t played their Week 3 matchup against the Bengals at the time of writing. Meanwhile, the Colts feel good about themselves as they search for a third straight win following a 22-19 OT win over the Ravens.
After back-to-back road games, I see the Colts prevailing at home. Indianapolis’ defense has played better than expected while Gardner Minshew has proved that he can still handle being a starting QB if Anthony Richardson (concussion) isn’t cleared to play.
Rams vs Colts Prediction: IND 21, LAR 17
Rams vs Colts Best Bet: TBD
Buccaneers vs Saints Odds
- Record: Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-0) vs. New Orleans Saints (2-1)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Caesars Superdome (New Orleans, LA)
- Spread: Buccaneers TBD (TBD) | Saints TBD (TBD)
- Total: OVER TBD (TBD) | UNDER TBD (TBD)
- Moneyline: Buccaneers TBD | Saints TBD
Odds aren’t available for this matchup just yet as the Buccaneers haven’t played their Week 3 matchup against the Eagles at the time of writing. On the flip side, all eyes are on the Saints to see how they respond to blowing a 17-point fourth-quarter lead in their 18-17 loss to the Green Bay Packers.
I expect the Buccaneers to emerge victorious on the road in Week 4. I can’t bring myself to trust the Saints after last game’s fourth-quarter collapse. Tampa Bay has been solid on both sides of the ball and if it can secure a win over Philly, I’ll like the Bucs’ odds of winning even more.
Buccaneers vs Saints Prediction: TB 23, NO 21
Buccaneers vs Saints Best Bet: TBD
Commanders vs Eagles Odds
- Record: Washington Commanders (2-1) vs. Philadelphia Eagles (2-0)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, PA)
- Spread: Commanders TBD (TBD) | Eagles TBD (TBD)
- Total: OVER TBD (TBD) | UNDER TBD (TBD)
- Moneyline: Commanders TBD | Eagles TBD
Odds aren’t available for this matchup just yet as the Eagles haven’t played their Week 3 matchup against the Buccaneers at the time of writing. At the same time, we do know that the Commanders are in dire need of a win after losing 37-3 to the Bills.
The Commanders’ record makes them look better than they are considering that their two wins came against the Cardinals and Broncos — two of the NFL’s worst teams.
After winning nine of the last 12 games in this NFC East rivalry, the Eagles won’t break much of a sweat come Sunday.
Commanders vs Eagles Prediction: PHI 27, WAS 17
Commanders vs Eagles Best Bet: TBD
Vikings vs Panthers Odds
- Record: Minnesota Vikings (0-3) vs. Carolina Panthers (0-3)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Bank of America Stadium (Charlotte, NC)
- Spread: Vikings -3 (-107) | Panthers +3 (-113)
- Total: OVER 45.5 (-110) | UNDER 45.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Vikings -160 | Panthers +140
The NFL Week 4 schedule includes another instance of winless teams colliding. The Vikings are coming off a 28-24 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers while the Panthers dropped to 0-3 with a 37-27 defeat to the Carolina Panthers.
Although neither team has performed well, the Vikings are the better pick to win. Each of Minnesota’s three losses came by six or fewer points, whereas Carolina has lost two by double-digits already.
Still, with both defenses being among the worst in the NFL this season, expect a decent amount of fireworks at Bank of America Stadium.
Vikings vs Panthers Prediction: MIN 26, CAR 20
Vikings vs Panthers Best Bet: Over 45.5 Total Points (-110)
Steelers vs Texans Odds
- Record: Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1) vs. Houston Texans (1-2)
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: NRG Stadium (Houston, TX)
- Spread: Steelers -3 (-115) | Texans +3 (-105)
- Total: OVER 41 (-110) | UNDER 41 (-110)
- Moneyline: Steelers TBD | Texans TBD
The Steelers are gunning for their third win in a row after securing a 23-18 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Meanwhile, WR Tank Dell’s 145-yard performance helped lead the Texans to a huge 37-17 victory against the rival Jaguars.
I could see this game going either way, which is why I’m going with a more neutral approach. Regardless of the victor, I expect the Over to be hit. The Steelers' first three games saw an average of 42 points scored while the Texans experienced a 46.3 PPG clip in their outings.
Having said that, Houston hasn’t won a home game since December 21 — a span of 10 games — so take Pittsburgh to win a close one.
Steelers vs Texans Prediction: PIT 24, HOU 23
Steelers vs Texans Best Bet: Over 41 Total Points (-110)

NFL Week 4 Odds — Late Sunday Games
Raiders vs Chargers Odds
- Record: Las Vegas Raiders (1-2) vs. Los Angeles Chargers (1-2)
- Time: 4:05 p.m. ET
- Location: SoFi Stadium (Inglewood, CA)
- Spread: Raiders +4.5 (-105) | Chargers -4.5 (-115)
- Total: OVER 51 (-110) | UNDER 51 (-110)
- Moneyline: Raiders TBD | Chargers TBD
The Raiders head into this AFC West showdown after a disappointing 23-18 loss to the Steelers. At the same time, the Chargers are coming off their first win of the season which saw Justin Herbert throw for 405 yards and three TDs in a 28-24 win over the Vikings.
After the Raiders were outscored a combined 61-28 in their last two games, I’m siding with the Chargers. It also helps that Los Angeles has won two straight home games against Las Vegas, which includes a 24-19 victory last September.
If Herbert follows up his performance with a strong encoding showing, the Chargers should win this NFL Week 4 collision by a decent margin.
Raiders vs Chargers Prediction: LAC 28, LV 20
Raiders vs Chargers Best Bet: LAC -4.5 (-115)
Patriots vs Cowboys Odds
- Record: New England Patriots (1-2) vs. Dallas Cowboys (2-1)
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: AT&T Stadium (Arlington, TX)
- Spread: Patriots +7 (-115) | Cowboys -7 (-105)
- Total: OVER 43.5 (-108) | UNDER 43.5 (-112)
- Moneyline: Patriots +255 | Cowboys -305
Week 4 sees the Patriots attempt to hit the .500 mark after last week’s 15-10 win against the New York Jets. Meanwhile, the Cowboys need answers after struggling on both sides of the ball in a 28-16 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cowboys are too good to be upset in back-to-back outings. Dallas should get the win against a New England squad that likely wouldn’t have won if Aaron Rodgers was healthy last week.
Still, I’m hesitant to take the Cowboys on the spread after falling to the Cardinals, so let’s roll with the Under on the 43.5-point total instead.
Patriots vs Cowboys Prediction: DAL 24, NE 17
Patriots vs Cowboys Best Bet: Under 43.5 Total Points (-112)
Cardinals vs 49ers Odds
- Record: Arizona Cardinals (1-2) vs. San Francisco 49ers (3-0)
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Levi’s Stadium (Santa Clara, CA)
- Spread: Cardinals +14 (-109) | 49ers -14 (-111)
- Total: OVER 43.5 (-110) | UNDER 43.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Cardinals +625 | 49ers -800
Despite their 28-16 win over the Cowboys, the Cardinals are still major underdogs in Week 4. It doesn’t help that the 49ers looked dominant in their 30-12 win over the New York Giants, improving to 3-0 in the process.
With all due respect to Arizona, I don’t see San Francisco estimating the visitors like Dallas did. Besides, the 49ers swept the Cardinals last season while outscoring their NFC West rival 76-23 on aggregate.
In other words, I expect more of the same come Sunday afternoon.
Cardinals vs 49ers Prediction: SF 35, ARI 14
Cardinals vs 49ers Best Bet: SF -14 (-111)
NFL Week 4 Sunday Night Football Odds
Chiefs vs Jets Odds
- Record: Kansas City Chiefs (2-1) vs. New York Jets (1-2)
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
- Location: MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ)
- Spread: Chiefs -9.5 (-112) | Jets +9.5 (-108)
- Total: OVER 42.5 (-110) | UNDER 42.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Chiefs -400 | Jets +320
Backed by the support of Taylor Swift, the Chiefs are on a rolling following a 41-10 win over the Chicago Bears. The Jets, meanwhile, are backed by back-to-back losses, most recently falling 15-10 to the Patriots in Week 3.
This is a game where I wouldn’t overthink things. The Jets are horrific without Aaron Rodgers and haven’t scored more than 10 points since Week 1. Unless the Chiefs forget how to play football entirely, I don’t see an upset happening.
Chiefs vs Jets Prediction: KC 31, NYJ 16
Chiefs vs Jets Best Bet: KC -9.5 (-112)
NFL Week 4 Monday Night Football Odds
Seahawks vs Giants Odds
- Record: Seattle Seahawks (2-1) vs. New York Giants (1-2)
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Location: MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, NJ)
- Spread: Seahawks -1 (-113) | Giants +1 (-107)
- Total: OVER 46.5 (-110) | UNDER 46.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Seahawks -117 | Giants -103
The NFL Week 4 MNF showdown sees the Seahawks looking for the third win in a row after overcoming the Panthers by a 37-27 final score. At the same time, the Giants hope to stop the bleeding following a 30-12 loss to the 49ers.
The last time the Giants played a home game was when they lost 40-0 in Week 1. After losing by 18 points last week, I don’t see their fortunes reversing. The Seahawks have momentum and won’t have a problem scoring on a defense that can’t stop a nosebleed.
Seahawks vs Giants Prediction: SEA 26, NYG 17
Seahawks vs Giants Best Bet: SEA -1 (-113)
