All Week 1 odds are courtesy of BetOnline at 10:23 a.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
NFL Week 1 Odds — Thursday, Sept. 7
Lions vs Chiefs Odds
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
- Location: Arrowhead Stadium — Kansas City, Missouri
- Spread: Detroit Lions +6.5 (-110) | Kansas City Chiefs -6.5 (-110)
- Total: OVER 54.5 (-110) | UNDER 54.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Detroit Lions +235 | Kansas City Chiefs -280
As mentioned before, the Lions and Chiefs are kicking off the 2023 NFL Week 1 schedule on Thursday with a potential shootout. BetOnline is currently listing a 54.5-point total with -110 odds on each side of the over/under.
It isn’t shocking to see the Chiefs heavily favored due to their being the defending Super Bowl Champions. At the same time, it’s important to remember that the Lions averaged 26.6 PPG last season — good for fifth-best in the NFL.
NFL Week 1 Odds — Sunday, Sept. 10
Panthers vs Falcons Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Mercedes-Benz Stadium — Atlanta, Georgia
- Spread: Carolina Panthers +3.5 (-115) | Atlanta Falcons -3.5 (-105)
- Total: OVER 39.5 (-110) | UNDER 39.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Carolina Panthers +155 | Atlanta Falcons -175
The NFC South is highlighted when the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons meet on Sunday. Both teams finished below .500 during the 2022 campaign with matching 7-10 records.
The Falcons are favored here and rightfully so. After all, Atlanta has not only won 11 of its last 15 meetings against Carolina, but it also covered the spread in 10 of those meetings. Only time will tell if those trends continue this weekend.
Bengals vs Browns Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: FirstEnergy Stadium — Cleveland, Ohio
- Spread: Cincinnati Bengals -2.5 (-112) | Cleveland Browns +2.5 (-108)
- Total: OVER 47.5 (-110) | UNDER 47.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Cincinnati Bengals -137 | Cleveland Browns +117
The 2023 NFL Week 1 slate wouldn’t be complete without an AFC North rivalry matchup. Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals are set to travel to FirstEnergy Stadium to take on Deshaun Watson’s Cleveland Browns.
Even though the Bengals are favored to win on the road, they’ve lost five straight trips to Cleveland. At the same time, the Browns have failed to cover the spread in 14 of their last 20 divisional matchups.
Jaguars vs Colts Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Lucas Oil Stadium — Indianapolis, Indiana
- Spread: Jacksonville Jaguars -4.5 (-115) | Indianapolis Colts +4.5 (-105)
- Total: OVER 45.5 (-107) | UNDER 45.5 (-113)
- Moneyline: Jacksonville Jaguars -223 | Indianapolis Colts +193
The Jacksonville Jaguars begin their hunt for back-to-back AFC South titles for the first time in 25 years when they open the new season against the Indianapolis Colts.
A victory this weekend would help the Jaguars snap a five-game losing streak at Lucas Oil Stadium. Having said that, it’s important to point out that the Colts have lost their last five regular-season home games and are only 1-6 ATS in their last seven AFC South matchups.
Buccaneers vs Vikings Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: U.S. Bank Stadium — Minneapolis, Minnesota
- Spread: Tampa Bay Buccaneers +5.5 (-107) | Minnesota Vikings -5.5 (-113)
- Total: OVER 45 (-110) | UNDER 45 (-110)
- Moneyline: Tampa Bay Buccaneers +215 | Minnesota Vikings -235
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers begin the post-Tom Brady era on Sunday in the form of an afternoon date with the Minnesota Vikings.
Not only have the Buccaneers lost 14 times in their last 20 trips to U.S. Bank Stadium, but they’ve also gone 0-6 ATS in their last six road games overall. Meanwhile, the Vikings are looking to avoid another slow start to the season after losing seven of their 10 previous September matchups.
Titans vs Saints Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Caesars Superdome — New Orleans, Louisiana
- Spread: Tennessee Titans +3 (+105) | New Orleans Saints -3 (-125)
- Total: OVER 41 (-110) | UNDER 41 (-110)
- Moneyline: Tennessee Titans +155 | New Orleans Saints -175
The NFL Week 1 matchup features another matchup between two teams that went 7-10 last year when the Tennessee Titans pay a visit to the New Orleans Saints at 1 p.m. ET.
Even though the over/under is low for this matchup, there’s a good chance for a decent amount of fireworks. After all, six of the last nine Titans vs. Saints matchups averaged 48.8 PPG while finishing with more than 41 points seven times.
49ers vs Steelers Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: Acrisure Stadium — Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
- Spread: San Francisco 49ers -2.5 (-108) | Pittsburgh Steelers +2.5 (-112)
- Total: OVER 41 (-112) | UNDER 41 (-108)
- Moneyline: San Francisco 49ers -135 | Pittsburgh Steelers +115
The San Francisco 49ers hope that QB Brock Purdy’s 2022 performance wasn’t a fluke. They’ll get to put that to the test when they open the new season against a hungry Pittsburgh Steelers squad that missed the playoffs despite finishing 9-8.
It’s another match where I can see these teams easily surpassing the projected total. Not only did the 49ers hit the over in six of their last nine 2022 matchups, but the over is also 5-0 in the Steelers’ last five times hosting San Francisco.
Cardinals vs Commanders Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: FedEx Field — Landover, Maryland
- Spread: Arizona Cardinals +7 (-106) | Washington Commanders -7 (-114)
- Total: OVER 37.5 (-112) | UNDER 37.5 (-108)
- Moneyline: Arizona Cardinals +260 | Washington Commanders -310
The Arizona Cardinals are projected to be the NFL’s worst team across most major sportsbooks. They have the opportunity to prove their doubters wrong when they attempt to upset the Washington Commanders this weekend.
A lot is going against the Cardinals here. On top of Arizona losing eight straight road games against Washington, the Commanders have an impressive 7-2-1 record in their last 10 outings as the betting favorite.
Texans vs Ravens Odds
- Time: 1 p.m. ET
- Location: M&T Bank Stadium — Baltimore, Maryland
- Spread: Houston Texans +10 (-110) | Baltimore Ravens -10 (-110)
- Total: OVER 43.5 (-110) | UNDER 43.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Houston Texans +395 | Baltimore Ravens -500
The Baltimore Ravens are the clear-cut favorite in their home matchup against the lowly Houston Texans. The Ravens’ -500 moneyline odds carry an implied win probability of 83.3%.
The Ravens have won 10 of their last 12 meetings with the Texans — including each of the last six in Baltimore. Something else working against Houston is the fact that it has failed to cover the spread five times in its last seven matchups against an NFC North team.
Packers vs Bears Odds
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Soldier Field — Chicago, Illinois
- Spread: Green Bay Packers +1 (-110) | Chicago Bears -1 (-110)
- Total: OVER 44 (-110) | UNDER 44 (-110)
- Moneyline: Green Bay Packers -105 | Chicago Bears -115
The upcoming NFL Week 1 game between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears looks like it could go either way based on the odds.
Although the Packers have beaten the Bears eight consecutive times, things could change now that Aaron Rodgers is no longer under center for Green Bay. At the same time, Chicago has lost seven consecutive home losses and could use a fortune reversal.
Raiders vs Broncos Odds
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Mile High Stadium — Denver, Colorado
- Spread: Las Vegas Raiders +3.5 (-110) | Denver Broncos -3.5 (-110)
- Total: OVER 44 (-110) | UNDER 44 (-110)
- Moneyline: Las Vegas Raiders +160 | Denver Broncos -180
After falling short of expectations last year, the Las Vegas Raiders and Denver Broncos desperately need strong starts to the 2023 NFL season.
The Raiders swept last year’s season series between the AFC West rivals, outscoring the Broncos 54-39 on aggregate. Having said that, Sean Payton is now behind Denver’s bench, meaning fans should expect the Broncos to be more dangerous this year.
Eagles vs Patriots Odds
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Gillette Stadium — Foxboro, Massachusetts
- Spread: Philadelphia Eagles -4 (-107) | New England Patriots +4 (-113)
- Total: OVER 45 (-107) | UNDER 45 (-113)
- Moneyline: Philadelphia Eagles -190 | New England Patriots +165
The New England Patriots look to prove themselves when they face the Philadelphia Eagles, the runners-up at Super Bowl LVII.
Even though the road team is the favorite, the Patriots have beaten the Eagles in five of their last seven showdowns. Nevertheless, those victories came with Tom Brady under center for New England, meaning it remains to be seen if Mac Jones can continue the trend.
Dolphins vs Chargers Odds
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: SoFi Stadium — Los Angeles, California
- Spread: Miami Dolphins +3 (-110) | Los Angeles Chargers -3 (-110)
- Total: OVER 51.5 (-110) | UNDER 51.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Miami Dolphins +141 | Miami Dolphins -161
The Miami Dolphins look for more success against the Los Angeles Chargers after winning 12 of the 17 previous matchups between these inter-division foes.
Although the game’s total currently sits at 51.5 points, a shootout isn’t guaranteed. After all, the under is a dominant 16-2 in the last 18 times that Miami and Los Angeles have gone head-to-head.
Rams vs Seahawks Odds
- Time: 4:25 p.m. ET
- Location: Lumen Field — Seattle, Washington
- Spread: LA Rams +5 (-106) | Seattle Seahawks -5 (-114)
- Total: OVER 45.5 (-110) | UNDER 45.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: LA Rams +205 | Seattle Seahawks -245
An NFC West rivalry is also highlighted on the NFL Week 1 schedule when the LA Rams travel north to take on the Seattle Seahawks.
The Seahawks might be the favorites but don’t underestimate the Rams. On top of being 5-1 ATS in its previous six Week 1 tilts, LA has covered the spread in five consecutive outings against Seattle.
Cowboys vs Giants Odds
- Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
- Location: MetLife Stadium— East Rutherford, New Jersey
- Spread: Dallas Cowboys -3.5 (-108) | New York Giants +3.5 (-112)
- Total: OVER 46.5 (-110) | UNDER 46.5 (-110)
- Moneyline: Dallas Cowboys -170 | New York Giants +150
The Week 1 Sunday Night Football matchup is a massive one as the Dallas Cowboys collide with the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium.
The Cowboys have dominated this rivalry in recent years, winning 11 of the previous 12 matchups before Sunday’s meeting. While the Giants are poised to take a step forward this year, it’s important to remember that they’ve tasted defeat in eight of their last 10 NFC East contests.
NFL Week 1 Odds — Monday, Sept. 11
Bills vs Jets Odds
- Time: 8:15 p.m. ET
- Location: MetLife Stadium — East Rutherford, New Jersey
- Spread: Buffalo Bills -2.5 (-113) | New York Jets +2.5 (-107)
- Total: OVER 46.5 (-112) | UNDER 46.5 (-108)
- Moneyline: Buffalo Bills -145 | New York Jets +125
Lastly, the NFL Week 1 action ends with a massive Monday Night Football collision between Josh Allen’s Buffalo Bills and the new-look New York Jets featuring four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has a tall task ahead of him considering that the Jets have lost 16 of their last 18 divisional matchups. It also doesn’t help that Buffalo has is 4-1 in its last five road games against New York while holding the Jets to 17 or fewer points in each loss.
