Lions vs Ravens Breakdown & Best Bets
The Lions are entering Week 7 as one of the hottest teams in football. Yeah, that wasn’t a typo. The Motor City is riding high and each game has been filled with big plays and exciting football.
The Ravens on the other hand, have been having a bit of a Jekyll and Hyde type of season. This season the Ravens have wins against the Browns and Bengals but losses to the Gardener Minshew led Colts and Matt Canada Steelers.
With the Ravens and Lions both looking to secure another win this week, let’s get into our best bets.
A. St. Brown o74.5 Rec Yards (-115) via Bovada
One of my favourite guys to bet this season, Amon-Ra St. Brown. Through six weeks, St. Brown has played five games and is averaging 91 YPG, 7.6 rec/game, and 10 targets/game.
He’s become Goff’s favorite target, and he’s solidified himself as a elite wide receiver in the NFL .
Last week we saw St. Brown bring in 12 catches on 15 targets for 124 yards and a touchdown against the Buccaneers. He’s recorded 100+ yards in 3 of 5 games, and recorded 5+ catches and 7+ targets in every matchup.
The Ravens secondary has yet to be tested this season. So far, the Ravens defense has faced up against: CJ Stroud in his 1st ever start, injured Joey B, Gardener Minshew, Matt Canada, and Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
If you asked who that last guy is, you’re not the only one.
Even with the return of Marlon Humphrey, this Ravens defense is vulnerable. Even with Humphrey playing in his first game of the season, the Ravens gave up 6 catches for 130 yards to George Pickens.
The Lions enter this matchup as a three point dog, this is the first time the Lions’ will be underdogs since Week 1. The Lions should be pass happy against this tired Ravens team coming home from England.
With Amon-Ra being Goff’s favourite target, I love him to have a big Sunday.
A. St. Brown o74.5 Rec Yards (-115) via Bovada
M. Andrews o53.5 Rec Yards (-105) via Bovada
Mark Andrews has been a little quiet this season, but over the last three weeks he’s averaging 71.3 YPG, 5 rec/game , and 7 targets/game.
Andrews has seen 5+ targets in every game this season, going over his line in 3 of 5 games; including 3 straight.
Detroit’s also giving up 61 YPG to TEs, 6.3 rec/game, on 8.5 targets/game. The Lions rank 29th in rec given up to TEs and 27th in yards allowed to the position.
The Lions really haven’t faced off with any elite TEs but still continue to get gashed by the position. Detroit’s giving up 221.2 pass yards/game and 151 of those yards are to wide receivers.
The Lions have done a good job against opponent wide outs this season, so look for Lamar to look to Mark Andrews to get the job done.
M. Andrews o53.5 Rec Yards (-105) via Bovada
