For those unfamiliar with them, specialty props can take many different forms. On one hand, they might concern two starting quarterbacks needing to combine for a certain number of passing yards. On the other, a specialty prop might require a touchdown in every quarter of every game this weekend. In other words, the possibilities are endless.
With another exciting NFL betting slate on the horizon, let’s dive into three must-specialty prop bets for the Divisional Round action.

NFL Specialty Prop: Most Passing Yards — Jared Goff (+300)
After searching through BetOnline’s various specialty props, I can’t help but like Jared Goff to finish the weekend with the most passing yards.
Goff might not be a superstar quarterback, but he certainly knows how to launch the ball. He averaged 269.1 passing yards during the regular season (his most since 2019) and even tallied five 300-yard performances. He also averages significantly more passing yards at home (280.0) than he does on the road (259.4) and just threw for 277 against the LA Rams at Ford Field last week.
Fortunately for Goff, Sunday’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. Detroit Lions collision is the only one taking place in a domed stadium, giving him another advantage over other QBs.
Another thing that Goff has going for him is Tampa Bay’s underwhelming pass defense. Although they held Jalen Hurts to 250 passing yards in the Wild Card Round, the Buccaneers still surrender the fourth-most passing yards on the seventh-highest completion percentage on the road this season. They’ve given up at least 300 passing yards in five away games, including a season-worst 443 to the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium — another domed environment — in Week 9.
With this game also having the second-highest projected point total of the weekend (49.0), taking Goff to record the most passing yards in the Divisional Round makes for a great specialty prop pick.

NFL Specialty Prop: Most Rushing Yards — Christian McCaffrey (+140)
After a well-deserved first-round bye, the San Francisco 49ers make their 2023-24 playoff debut against the Green Bay Packers at Levi’s Stadium. The Packers shouldn’t be taken lightly after upsetting the Dallas Cowboys, however, this matchup is still a great one for 49ers RB Christian McCaffrey — especially when it comes to recording the most rushing yards in the NFL Divisional Round.
For starters, McCaffrey is coming off a regular-season performance that saw him lead the NFL with a career-high 1,459 rushing yards. The veteran rusher hit the 100-yard mark on seven occasions with three of those instances occurring in seven games at Levi’s Stadium. It just doesn’t matter which defense he faces: CMC finds a way to put up massive rushing numbers against them all.
The good news for the 27-year-old is that he isn’t facing that difficult of a run defense on Saturday. The Packers are allowing the fifth-most rushing yards per game (128.0), which skyrockets to 141.4 on the road. Green Bay allowed at least 122 rushing yards in seven of 10 road games thus far, which includes three 200-yard performances as well.
The 49ers are currently projected as 10-point favorites in a game featuring a projected total of 50.5 points, which is the perfect stormy form for McCaffrey to get plenty of touches.
Unless San Francisco completely forgets that it has the NFL’s best RB at its disposal, McCaffrey recording the most rushing yards is another solid betting option.
Bet: Christian McCaffrey to Record Most Rushing Yards (+140)

NFL Divisional Round 2023-24: Specialty Props Cont.
NFL Specialty Prop: Most Rushing Yards — B. Mayfield, J. Allen, & L. Jackson Pass for 200+ Yards Each (+120)
Earlier, I mentioned how specialty props can take a wide variety of forms and this is one example. If you’re looking to get creative, I suggest taking Baker Mayfield, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson to each record 200 or more passing yards.
I’m having a difficult time imagining any of the above quarterbacks missing the market his weekend. For starters, Mayfield is coming off a 337-yard performance against the Eagles last week. He’s now finished with 200-plus passing yards in 13 of his 18 starts this season (72.2%) and now faces the Lions, who surrender the third-most passing yards per game (253.4) in the league.
Baker Mayfield’s stats tonight:
• 22 for 36
• 337 passing yards
• 16 rushing yards
• 3 TDs
• 119.8 passer rating#Buccaneers— NFL Stats (@NFL_Stats) January 16, 2024
I don’t see Allen having an issue hitting the 200-yard mark either — especially after doing so in 14 of 18 (77.8%) starts since the beginning of the 2023 campaign. Even though the Kansas City Chiefs are one of the better teams at defending the pass, the Bills QB is averaging 292.3 passing yards in his last three games against them, finishing with at least 200 in each one.
There isn’t an excuse for Jackson not to come through on this specialty prop, too. Although he doesn’t put up as many passing yards as some QBs, the Ravens superstar is still averaging the second-most passing yards of his career (229.9) and has finished with at least 200 more often (10) than not (6). Fortunately for Jackson, the Houston Texans are giving up the ninth-most passing yards and just allowed Joe Flacco to rack up 307 on Wild Card Weekend.
While there’s no such thing as a guaranteed outcome in sports betting, I’d be shocked if these three QBs don’t come through on this NFL Divisional Round prop.
