See Picks & Statistics For The GameTwo undefeated teams, the Chargers and Steelers, face off on Sunday—two of the most surprising teams still unbeaten. Although their schedules haven’t been the toughest, the Chargers boast a dominant run game, averaging just under 200 yards per game. Now, they will face a Steelers defense that allows only 76.5 rushing yards per game.
It will be intriguing to see how Los Angeles’ offense performs against a solid defense, after facing the Raiders and Panthers in their first two games.
Will Pittsburgh disrupt the Chargers’ dynamic run game, or will J.K. Dobbins run wild once again?

Chargers vs Steelers Predictions
The Stank:
Picking a side in this matchup is a risky move. Both the Chargers and Steelers are off to an unexpected 2-0 start, having beaten some of the league’s weakest offenses. This game could go in any direction, but there’s only one place where the focus will be—*cue Men At Work*—living in the land Down Under. (Just click the link)
The Chargers’ team total under was on the radar all Sunday night. When the prop finally dropped, it came in at a perfect 17.5. Given the already low total, this number is even more enticing.
Los Angeles has started their season off playing the Raiders defense, that has allowed 22+ points in back to back weeks. Then this past week against the Carolina Panthers, which is basically like playing against your local Pop Warner team. Carolina has allowed 73 points in their first two games. That is 36.5 a game. Now the Chargers have to head into Pittsburgh and take on one of the league’s best defenses.
The Steelers’ defense has been stellar, allowing just one touchdown in two weeks and only giving up two field goals to the Broncos in their 13-6 win in week 2. They’ve restricted their opponents to under 300 total yards, under 90 rushing yards, and under 250 passing yards in consecutive games.

Given this defensive strength, the Chargers’ offense could struggle. Los Angeles has relied heavily on their running game, averaging over 150 yards per game, but that success may be challenged by Pittsburgh’s defense. The Steelers effectively limited Bijan Robinson and Tyler Allgeier to a combined 89 yards in week 1, suggesting that Chargers running back J.K. Dobbins might face a difficult game on Sunday.
Game Outcome
As for a prediction on who might come out on top…
Pittsburgh appears to have the edge. They boast a more dynamic offense. While the threat of quarterback Justin Fields breaking off a big run is always present, his arm has also been effective in the first two weeks. Completing nearly 70% of his passes, throwing for over 250 yards, and rushing for 84 total yards this season, Fields is performing solidly.
Prediction: Steelers Win
Best Bet: Chargers Team Total Under 17.5 (-126) on BetOnline
