See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe 2022 NFL season is one step closer to the postseason as Week 11 is finally here. Though there are many intense matchups scheduled, there’s nothing like a good ol’ rivalry game. That’s exactly what fans are getting with this week’s Jets vs Patriots showdown when New York and New England meet for the second time this season.
The Jets have been one of the hottest teams in the nation, winning five of their last six games. After spending last week on bye, the last time fans saw the Jets was during their 20-17 victory over the Buffalo Bills in Week 9, leaving time to tell if they can pick up from where they left off.
Week 9 was also the last time we saw the Patriots in action. They picked up a 26-3 win against the Indianapolis Colts in that game, marking the former’s fourth win in their last six outings. It’ll be interesting to see if that momentum can help New England vanquish its AFC East rival.
Betting News has gathered the latest Jets vs Patriots odds from BetOnline Sportsbook to help shed some light on the situation, along with a prediction and best bets for the NFL Week 11 game.

New York Jets vs New England Patriots Prediction and Picks
Jets vs Patriots Prediction: Patriots 21, Jets 16
Jets vs Patriots Picks: Patriots -3.5 (Best Value: -105 at BetOnline) & Under 38.5 Points (Best Value: -110 at BetOnline)
This game marks the second time this season that the Jets and Patriots will collide. You don’t have to look too far back for the first encounter, which took place in Week 8 and ended in a 22-17 victory for the Patriots on the road.
Even though Jets QB Zach Wilson threw for 355 passing yards and a pair of touchdown passes, it wasn’t good enough. His three interceptions on the day played a role in New York’s downfall as New England is one of the best teams when it comes to capitalizing on mistakes.
Nevertheless, that loss didn’t deter the Jets from defeating the Bills one week later. The former benefited from Josh Allen playing injured, but a win is a win at the end of the day.
While momentum is on the Jets’ side, only time will tell if it’s enough to finally beat the Patriots. Since September 2003, New York and New England have gone head-to-head 41 times, resulting in 34 victories for Bill Belichick’s squad.
The Jets haven’t beaten the Patriots since 2015, losing 13 games in a row since then. Furthermore, the Jets haven’t even beaten the division rivals on the road since January 2011, showing just how dominant the Pats have been.
It’s also going to be tough for the Jets to win if Zach Wilson doesn’t have a strong performance. The Patriots have owned the second-year quarterback in his young career, holding him to a 53.6% completion rate with 616 passing yards, two TDs and seven INTs over three previous meetings.
If the Patriots continue to shut Wilson down, the Jets will have no choice but to turn to the run. Unfortunately for them, New England has a solid run defense that’s held opponents to 78 or fewer rushing yards in three of the last four games — including holding the Jets to just 51 in Week 8.
At the end of the day, I see the Patriots continuing their dominance in this rivalry. Yes, the Jets are a good team, but they’re not perfect and their lack of success at Gillette Stadium over the years is telling.
Having said that, I’ll take New England covering the 3.5-point spread. After all, the team is 5-1 against the spread (ATS) in its last six games and 8-2 ATS in the last 10 Jets vs Patriots matchups.
I’m also going with the total going under 38.5 points. Although that’s not a huge number, the two AFC East rivals have gone under in nine of their last 13 games. With how strong both defenses have been lately, I don’t see that trend stopping anytime soon.
