See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe AFC South was predicted to be the worst division in the NFL. After a couple of weeks, there is definitely no argument there. Preseason NFL betting odds did project the Tennessee Titans as a potential contender in the AFC, but that looks a little shaky through two weeks.
The Colts have talent but are off to an 0-2 start. And with yet another injury to QB Carson Wentz, Indy is quickly seeing its season slip away.
Tennessee bounced back from a bad opening week loss to Arizona to beat Seattle last week. They were “this” close to being 0-2, needing OT to knock off the Seahawks at home.

Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans Betting Outlook
Wentz is questionable due to injuries to both ankles, but he is expected to start. With him dinged up, it makes the run game all that more important. The Titans don’t have an elite defense, so running back Jonathan Taylor needs to have his best game of the season after struggling to produce in the first two games.
Indy’s defense has not done well either. That is where they want to hang their hat but they have allowed 27 and 28 points in their first two games. The Rams and Seahawks are quality teams with balanced attacks, but that is still concering. The Titans are a familiar opponent and they know what they have to do, which is load up against the run. The question is whether they can do it.
Titans Looking for Consistency
When the Titans scored just 13 points in the opener against the Arizona Cardinals, the impact of losing offensive coordinator Arthur Smith was definitely being felt. The offense bounced back with 33 points in last week’s win, so there is something to build on.
Derrick Henry rushed for 182 yards and three scores last week, doing what he does best. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill avoided mistakes and connected with new target WR Julio Jones repeatedly, including some big plays. Now the offense just has to get WR A.J. Brown going. They might have to force-feed him. The offense looks like it will be just fine.
As for the defense? That is another story. They were not good a year ago and don’t look any better despite a number of additions. Linebacker Bud Dupree and corner Caleb Farley, two of those additions, are questionable this week. DE Denico Autry was another offseason acquisition. He was with the Colts last season and picked up 1.5 sacks last week. If he can provide some pressure, the defense can have a good day against an injured Wentz.
NFL Betting Trends to Consider for Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans

- The Colts are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game and are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up loss.
- Tennessee is 11-23-1 ATS in their last 35 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.
- The Titans are 19-46-2 ATS in their last 67 games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
- The Titans are 2-5 ATS in their last seven games following a straight up win.
Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans Best Bet
Tennessee Titans -4.5
I think the Colts are going to have a tough time slowing down the Titans, and it is hard to know what to expect from Wentz (or Hundley). All it is going to take is a couple of breakdowns for the Titans to get a nice margin. From there, they can pound away with Henry.
Prop Watch: Indianapolis Colts to Score First and Lose
Look for the Colts to put three points on the scoreboard early but then not score again for some time. Obviously the coin toss is a wild card here, but there is still good value. The Colts generally play good defense so stopping the Titans on their first drive is not a huge stretch.
Indianapolis Colts vs Tennessee Titans Score Prediction
Tennessee Titans 30, Indianapolis Colts 16
