Giants vs Commanders Sunday Night Football Prediction for NFL Week 15: In Heinicke I Trust

The New York Giants travel to Washington D.C. to take on the Commanders in a NFC East showdown.

The Giants are coming off of a brutal loss to another NFC East foe, the mighty Eagles, 48-22.

The Giants never really looked like they had a chance, as they were dealing with injuries all throughout the roster. And it showed, especially against the best team in football.

Now they get the Commanders for the 2nd time in 3 weeks, and both of these teams need to win to stay alive in the division and stay firmly in the playoff picture in the NFC.

The Commanders are coming off of their bye, and are looking towards a late season run to possibly make the playoffs.

When these teams faced off 2 weeks ago, it ended in a stale mate. While I don’t expect another tie, this will be another tight affair on Sunday Night Football.

The drama will be high and these division rivals will go blow for blow to keep their post-season hopes alive. Who will come out on top of this NFC East battle under the Sunday Night lights?

Prediction

This is going to be a dog fight, no doubt.

Both of these teams know what is at stake in this game. Whoever wins, will have a game lead in the division and take one step closer to grabbing one of those valuable NFC Wild Card spots.

I am going to side with the healthier team coming off of a week rest to get the job done.

The Commanders have been lifted by the play of QB Taylor Heinicke and their defense and I think they both make enough plays to get a win at home and cover the spread.
