Dolphins vs. Packers Analysis & Breakdown
Green Bay comes into this game after winning 6 of their last 7; averaging 26.3 points per game, scoring 22 total touchdowns. The Pack have averaged 235.6 passing yards per game, adding in 138.6 yards on the ground and holding their opponents to just under 20 points per game.
In that time frame, the Packers have wins against Texans, Bears, Niners, and Cardinals. Their 3 losses on the season have come to teams with a combined record of 28-5; the Eagles, Lions and Vikings with 2 of their 3 losses coming by less than a touchdown.
Miami, on the other hand, has had their fair share of struggles this season. Tua Tagovailoa’s missed 4 the Dolphins 11 games on the year, with the Dolphins going 1-3 in his absence. With Tua in the lineup, the Dolphins are 4-3 on the year, winners of 3 straight games.
Class of 2020
Both starting quarterbacks in this game were drafted back in 2020, both were drafted into vastly different situations. Tua didn’t start immediately, but come Week 7, he was the one taking snaps for the Miami Dolphins. Since then, Tua’s gone 36-22 as a starter, averaging 245 passing yards per game; throwing 94 touchdowns and 41 interceptions.
Love on the other hand, drafted at #26 and he wasn’t named the Packers’ official starter until 2023. Since becoming the full time starter, Love’s gone 15-11, averaging 246 passing yards per game with 50 touchdowns to 22 interceptions. He took the Pack to the post-season last year, even beating the Buccaneers and coming within minutes of the NFC Championship Game.
Both quarterbacks have been great in their own right, and tonight on Thanksgiving, they’ll face-off for the first time.
Jordan Love o1.5 Passing Touchdowns (-113)
After going 3 weeks and throwing just 1 touchdown pass, Jordan Love finally got back to his regularly scheduled programming; throwing touchdowns. Love threw for just 163 yards, threw just 23 times and managed to toss 2 touchdowns.
The Dolphins have had their issues this year but defensively they’ve held it down for the most part. The Fins have allowed just 11 passing touchdowns all year, allowing the 8th fewest passing yards per game. This looks great, until you look at the teams they’ve played.
Quarterbacks that Miami’s gone up against this year: Jacoby Brissett, Trevor Lawrence, Geno Smith, Mason Rudolph, Gardener Minshew and Anthony Richardson. The only quality QBs they matched up with this year were Josh Allen, and Kyler Murray; both guys combined for 5 touchdown passes, both recording 2 or more passing touchdowns.
Love’s recorded 2+ passing tocuhdowns in 4 of 5 home games this year, recording 13 total passing touchdowns at Lambeau Field this year. He’s gone 8-5 at Lambeau in his career, recording 26 touchdowns, 11 interceptions and recording 2+ passing touchdowns in 8 of his L9 home games.
Look for Love to take advantage of a beat up Dolphins defense, playing in frigid temperatures they’re really aren’t ready for.

Tyreek Hill o63.5 Receiving Yards (-109)
Getting Tyreek at a line like 64 yards used to be unheard of. Hill averaged just under 110 receiving yards per game last year, clearing 100 in 11 of the Dolphins 17 games. This week Tyreek lines up against a Packers defense that ranks 10th in receiving yards allowed, 5th against wide receivers.
It’s a tough matchup, but with Green Bay’s plethora of injuries, coupled with a short week; it could make for some costly mistakes in coverage. The Packers will be without their All-Pro Cornerback, Jaire Alexander; in addition to being without both their starting MLB & SLB.
Hill’s gone under this line in 3 straight games, recording 18 targets and 15 receptions. The only problem was that none of Tyreek’s receptions were the type of bomb-plays we’ve grown accustomed to seeing from him. Team’s have been doing a great job to limit him this year, but with the Packers secondary shaken up; I’m confident we see Tyreek respond here on a short week.
