The NFL rumor mill was on fire Tuesday when it came to Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams. The six-time Pro Bowl playmaker has been involved in trade rumors for the last few weeks, however, things took a turn when NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo were informed that Adams told the Raiders that he wants to be traded.
The NFL trade deadline is on Nov. 5, meaning the Raiders have a little over a month to decide what they want to do with Adams. The veteran wideout carries a $25.35 million cap hit for the 2024 campaign before that number rises to a whopping $44.1 million in 2025 and 2026.
Having said that, it’s only natural that football enthusiasts are wondering where Adams will go if the Raiders opt to send him packing.
Let’s take a look at the most likely landing spots with some help from BetOnline.

Davante Adams Trade Request: Next Team Odds
Currently, Davante Adams’ next team odds are currently unavailable on BetOnline. Having said that, we can look at where the odds sat during the most recent update (Sept. 23) to get a better idea about where the elite playmaker might land.
- New York Jets (-300)
- Kansas City Chiefs (+400)
- Baltimore Ravens (+500)
- Buffalo Bills (+600)
- Pittsburgh Steelers (+800)
- New Orleans Saints (+1000)
- Atlanta Falcons (+1200)
- Seattle Seahawks (+1200)
After taking a look at those trade odds, here are the three teams that I see as the most likely destinations for Adams’ services.
Davante Adams Trade Rumors: Most Likely Next Team
New York Jets (-300)
The New York Jets appear to be the odds-on favorite to land Davante Adams, which isn’t surprising given that Aaron Rodgers is their starting quarterback.
Adams played his first eight seasons on the Green Bay Packers with Rodgers as his quarterback. The duo made for one of the most dangerous passing forces in the NFL as the ex-Fresno State WR racked up 669 receptions for 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns during that stretch.
The Jets’ offense hasn’t looked great in Rodgers’ first full season under center, which is why they might be willing to bring in Adams. After all, New York was expected to be a Super Bowl contender when the four-time NFL MVP joined their franchise, and adding his old running mate would bring the Jets one step closer to accomplishing that goal.
With Garrett Wilson and (potentially) Adams at his disposal, Rodgers might be able to turn back the clock. If the Jets have what it takes to meet the Raiders’ asking price, general manager Joe Douglas must pull the trigger.

Baltimore Ravens (+500)
Although the Kansas City Chiefs have the second-best trade odds, I don’t see the Raiders trading Davante Adams to an AFC West rival. With that in mind, a move to the Baltimore Ravens makes a lot more sense.
The Ravens have one of the best attacks in the NFL, but that has a lot to do with their running game. The aerial attack, meanwhile, has left much to be desired to begin the season as Baltimore is only averaging 18.3 completions (T-25th) and 209.3 passing yards (16th) per game. While the uninspiring passing production isn’t an issue as long as games are being won, it’s a different story if teams begin to figure out how to stop the Ravens on the ground.
If the Ravens can restructure some contracts, going after Adams is a no-brainer. Quarterback Lamar Jackson has yet to have a receiver on Adams’ level and acquiring him from the Raiders could be the difference when it comes to competing for a Super Bowl.
With the AFC having been dominated by the Chiefs in recent years, adding Adams would help the Ravens regain some of the spotlight.

Pittsburgh Steelers (+800)
The Pittsburgh Steelers have had one of the more surprising starts to the 2024 NFL season, but a lot of that has to do with their defense. The Steelers’ offense still ranks in the bottom half of the league, which is why it might be in their best interest to pursue Davante Adams.
NFL insider Josina Anderson reported on Wednesday that the Steelers “have preliminary interest” in acquiring Adams. Pittsburgh chased after San Francisco 49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk when he was allegedly available this summer, so it isn’t a shock that they’re in the mix for Adams, too.
The Steelers’ WR room outside of George Pickens and Calvin Austin was non-existent in September. Even then, things haven’t been perfect. While the aforementioned duo has tallied a combined 409 receiving yards through four games, they’ve only recorded one touchdown between them. Adding Adams to the mix would give Pickens and Austin more favorable matchups while providing QB Justin Fields with his best weapon to date.
Additionally, the Steelers are one of the few teams that can fit Adams’ contract next season given that they’re projected to have over $73.8 million in cap space.
While other teams might be more likely destinations, don’t be surprised if the Steelers are in the conversation to acquire Adams right until the very end.
